Pre shrinking fabric and interfacing is crucial to making a long lasting, well fitted garment. Zig zag or serge the cut edges to prevent it from unraveling during the process. You can soak in warm water then line dry it (dryer is too rough and can damage the yarn and warp the weave).

So I'm working on another men's button up shirt. I have a few in backlog for various reasons (pandemic, pregnancy sickness, newborn), and a new order. I'm getting back to sewing again and I've lost my sewing instructions I made for myself. When setting up my new studio I just wanted to get everything in the space and organize later (never happened). Now I want to stop everything and neatly sort through it all in hopes of finding the instructions. Cleaning is a classic procrastination move of mine though so I'm just going to press on with this mockup. Make progress progress progress. Sew. Sew. Sew.
