How It Started
I have always had a passion for beautiful decorations whether that be in my home or for a party. I began years ago decorating at the American Legion Jefferson-Horton Post 340 for our fundraisers and events, just as a hobby, I would also create crafts as well. I began to branch out and do events for my family and close friends, when I realized I truly found joy in creating beautful events, I thought why not start a business doing it, but fear got the best of me so I didn’t pursue it. I continued doing events for my family and friends but it was like everytime I did an event God would send me a message that I should take it more serious and start a business doing it but I continued to let fear get the best of me. In 2017 I branched out and began to try and get clients to do events because I knew I found great joy in it, it took a while but with the enciouragement of many family and friends in 2018 after creating this page I got my first non family or friend paying client for a baby shower. It was overjoyed and did everything to make her event what she envisioned. I was so nervous ont he day of her shower but to have her walk in and hear her say, “I love it” made all of it worthwhile. I have continued to work hard and even gained ownership of my business RAF Events which stands for Regal and Fabulous Events but also Rebecca Anais Fields Ellis (RAFE), the name just came, I feel it was God’s plan for it to be so I continue to work hard and pray for more clients and success on my business and I thank God for how far I’ve come and where I plan to go.
