As part of collaboration with the Institute of Contemporary Art in for the film festival Frames of Representations 22, Radio AlHara invited one of its radio programs Recordat to host its recording session 0061 at the opening night event at the ICA theater where 3 sound artists are going to construct sonic narratives in a live performance.

The Berlin based multi-disciplinary artist and music produce Ross Alexander, presenting his sonic piece “11 Gates, an improvised work for objects and granular sampler.”
Hiro Kone, the New York based musician and producer, presenting her latest album “Silvercoat the throng” in a live performance using a combination of hardware, synths, and modular.
The creator of the Sonic Liberation Front radio show, the musician and sound artist Dirar Kalash from Palestine, bringing his field recordings from the frontlines of the protests in Palestine back in May 2021 to recreate the sound through sculpturing and modulating it live in a sonic performance.

This is the first recording session in London and number 0061 of a series of sessions that recordat been hosing since 2016 in physical and digital spaces.

Sonic Hinterlands_ Recordat will be in a performance at the @museodellecivilta in Rome on December 14, with_ @ibrahimowais & @baselnaouri Sonic Hinterlands is__ an interwoven sonic narrative emerges from the uncharted desert lands across a vast ocean, highlighting the moment of tension between the physical and psychological perception of spacetime within the turmoils of crossings. Sonic Hinterlands is a journey of movement, exploration, and hope, but also rejection, confrontation and death. Using fragments and echos of the sonic experience that surrounds human attempts of crossing the desert, Recordat will construct a non-disciplined sonic hinterland as a site for a critical reflection on the notion of crossings as means to claim identity and belonging. This performance is part of Recordat’s performative series that explore the world of spatial sonic narratives. This events is curated by @nero_editions in collaboration with @reyetto_tapes as part of the ISPRA collection opening: Animals, Plants, Rocks and Minerals. For almost ten years, #Mahraganat, better known as electro-shaabi, has been by far the most popular music of Egypt. The Fusion of hard bass and folkloric wedding music has been created as an energetic soundtrack of the stuffed, loud streets of #Egypt . Since 2015, producer 3Phaz from Cairo takes the genre to a new level and incorporates #techno, #gabber, and #UKbass music. On December 14th 2019, Recordat #Berlin #016 recorded for the Cairo-based artist 3Phaz and talked about Mahraganat. This is the first of a series of chats extracted from our Recordat Sessions. Recordat is a series of recording sessions, a collective of passionate people and a platform for electronic music producers and DJs from across the Mediterranean. Recordat started as a recording session to highlight some of the best electronic musicians who experiment with their sounds in a private event which we organize in different spaces and venues around the world. Recordat started in December 2017 at Uncle Sam Pub in Amman, Jordan. We have made 12 recording sessions in Amman, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Berlin. We have curated events in different places around the world and recorded for more than 30 artists so far.
Recordat is non-profit and supported by people from everywhere.
It's very important for us to keep our sessions as cosy as possible as if you are in a house party or at your friend's big living room.
