A bit of a photo dump here guys of the video shoot which took place for Rani. It was all shot in one day and was turned around quite quickly. Regarding the song itself I started work on it around 2 years back and the video here was shot early last year in a club in South Delhi.

Hey guys , some news to share this bank holiday weekend. In just 4 days time my new song ‘Rani’ will be released. You will be able to stream and download from the usual spaces. It’s produced and mixed by myself and this is my first official song release alongside, and for, a promising singer from Haryana, India. I’m excited about this new chapter. Music, life, Masti.. ! come the 29th of the 08th things are gonna get very FUNKY !! 😉

At the end of each show it’s all about me mixing Desi sounds with House music (which you can hear just a small sample of here). Though each show kicks off with Bhangra, Urban and Bass sounds it’s at the end when things lift off in another way, keeping things VERY dance heavy. This sound is close to the heart as it’s what I’ve honed over many years in the mix. The sound of my Punjabi and Indian roots mixed into House. It’s hard to talk about so it’s best just to feel it my friends!

In the marriage - what a weekend 😉 xx
Sad to hear about Safri’s passing. A legend of the U.K. Bhangra scene is no more. I thought he’d pull through after months spent in hospital. The sound of mine and many of us in the 90’s. The man with the golden voice.
Having started his career in the early 80’s he rose to prominence as the lead singer of the Safri Boyz and went on to light up dance floors globally with hits from albums such as ‘Bomb The Tumbi’, ‘Another Fine Mess’ and that little bit of magic the ‘Get Real’ album which featured the classic ‘Chan Mere Makhna’ which still gets played today. I’m glad I came up through that era. His music means so much to me personally from the dance floor bangers and everything in between. An amazing voice with soul and just a unique touch in what he did.
