Happy November! And what says November more than pie? 🥧

We love seeing unique ideas come to life! This bride and groom’s favorite dessert was pie, so in lieu of the traditional cake and cupcakes, they served their guests a variety of their favorite kinds of pie. It was the perfect personal touch added to their day 🧡

Exiting in style 🎇

Wedding send-offs are a tale as old as time. The original tradition involved throwing wheat and oats, and that evolved into the more commonly known rice-tossing. While you could have your guests toss rice or oats at you, we also have some other ideas that will get you some gorgeous photos and end your wedding on the highest of notes!

✨Sparklers: A tried and true send-off! The pictures are phenomenal and who doesn’t love a sparkler honestly? Just be sure include a couple buckets of sand into your planning to safely dispose of them afterwards.

✨Glow sticks: Super affordable and a great alternative if your heart was set on sparklers but your venue doesn’t allow it. There are a variety of sizes and colors available, and the pictures always turn out so colorful and fun.

✨Bubbles: We love an exit that doesn’t require clean-up. Bubbles are easy, a little nostalgic, and can double as a party favors for your guests if you personalize them.

✨Confetti: The colorful sister to the rice-toss. There are so many ways to make this unique to you, and there are biodegradable options available to keep it eco-friendly.

✨Fireworks: You know what they say… go big AND go home! We know this isn’t an option for most, but if it fits in your budget, what an epic way to end your wedding day. And the pictures would be 🤌🏽

No matter what send-off you choose, embrace the moment with each other! This ending is just the beginning of your story 🤍

We love how many options are available to style your bridesmaids today! There was a time when all bridesmaids were expected to wear the exact same dress, but over the years that expectation has shifted. More often than not, we see bridesmaids wearing the same color and material but different styles. As with all things wedding planning, it comes down to the bride’s preference, but we’d love to hear your take! Are you team same dress or team different dress? 👗

When you think of weddings, one of the first things you think of is flowers. But then you think of types and colors and amounts... oh my! Don’t fret; let us give you a few tips to help:

🌸 Create your floral budget first

🌸 Hire a florist & ask “What things can you do with x amount of money?”

🌸 Find out what florals are in season during your wedding month (HUGE money saver)

🌸 Make a list of all the arrangements you’ll need

🌸 Specify what your wedding colors are — they don’t have to match perfectly but you want them to at least be in your palette

🌸 Additional note: Some people choose to forego live flowers and use silks instead. Keep in mind that silks can also end up being as pricey as lives, so do your research before you come to a final decision

A trend likely to stick around 👀

First looks became an idea within the last 15 or so years. As with every idea trying to get trendy, it was taboo for a while before people really started seeing the benefit of it. Now, we see more than half of our couples choosing to do a first look with their partner before the ceremony begins. In fact, Zola did a poll this year of close to 7,000 couples and at the top of the “We Do” list was a first look. We would love to know where our followers stand: Do you prefer the traditional ceremony first look or the private first look before the ceremony?
