Happy Tuesday! I realized I never officially released my set supporting Elderbrook at the FVDED in the Park Afterparty … so here it is!⁣

Every set pushes me a little more artistically, and with the honour of opening for such an epic headliner I really went in on the challenge to find some really special supporting tracks that really fit the vibe. A little slowed down, deep, vibey and emotional with still a jungle essence ✨ is what I had in mind, and after playing around and experimenting for a while each track felt really good, and was chosen with real intention. ⁣
⁣
When it came to the night of the show, it could not have felt better to be in charge of the energy rising, and the seeing everyone connecting to each song was on another level of bliss. What a night!! 🪩 ⁣

I’ve decided that I’ll be starting a brand new instagram account exclusively for everything Wave Report (music, shows, announcements etc), so this account can become a freer space for me to share everything I’m up to again. Brand new sets, releases, music projects, festival announcements, shows, Spotify playlists and some creative ideas including an exciting rebrand I’ve been slowly birthing will live there! ⁣⁣

(Part 1/3) 🌞 Looking back, these last 4 years of dj’ing have been an absolute portal for me. I believe we’re always being divinely guided to find the things we were meant to discover, not only for curiosity’s sake but also for our own personal evolution. ⁣
It’s been a wild ride, and I can say the difference between playing my first show at 333 Clark - feeling both terrified and electric; to now being able to stand confidently on stage and not only connect with the crowd, but lead us all on a sonic journey where we move energy and emotion together has been unreal. ⁣
That feeling of “what just happened” after a set, where we all seemed to drop into the most surreal rhythmic state together - only to wake later from a dream is completely wild. Like real-life magic.⁣
⁣
In the same sentence, I can also share that the same period of time contained some of the darkest days of my life so far. ‘As above, so below’. And though the sun may have seemed always like it was shining in the outside - I can now truly say I know what depression, loss of direction and a deep, confising sadness feels like. I believe I found DJ’ing for the soul purpose of looking at my shadows and uncovering so many unconscious traits behaviours that I didn’t knew existed - until it was staring back at me, so obviously - just like a mirror. ⁣Encouraging me to heal, open up my creative channels, ultimately face off with myself and find a deeper source for my own inner liberation. 🌅

Inspired by cinematic buildups and progressive deep melodies, heavy hitting bass-lines, eclectic percussion, the movement of house and energy of techno, Victoria has a passion for simply showcasing great music which keeps her from playing within the confines of a single genre. With house music at here core, she enjoys bending and flowing through different tempo ranges and styles, keeping audiences engaged in an energetic experience that is ever-evolving.

Her vision isn't exclusive to showcasing music for larger audiences but to connect, work with and help build an even stronger community around people simply coming together to celebrate and create, for the love of music. Supporting local and developing artists is a continued priority, leaving room in her sets to play tracks from fellow artists, bedroom producers and up-and-comers if the sound fits just right. With a strong belief that talent and great sound should be recognized at any level, few things bring her more joy than letting loose a track from an undiscovered artist or sharing a brand new sound.

Apart from playing a variety of shows and festivals this year, some of her future plans include diving deeper into music production, collaborating on creative projects with local and touring artists, introducing live production into her performances and finding new ways to grow and evolve with others in the music community.
