MusicFest 2012: Spring on the Mountain *May 11 & 12, 2012* Hosting this year’s event will be Chooch Meisenbacher, of the Sidehill Gougers and Lil’ Hoojin.

On May 11 & 12, 23 miles south of Fayetteville, nestled in Hazel Valley of the Ozark Mountains, the Buffalo Saloon and Ranch have been chosen as the site for MusicFest 2012: Spring on the Mountain, Northwest Arkansas Sunshine Foundation’s 2nd Annual Disaster Relief Benefit Concert. The 2012 lineup will feature several local and regional bands including: Chooch and the Sidehill Gougers - Fayettevil

le AR, Trashcan Bandits – (Fayetteville AR), Charliehorse –(Fayetteville AR), Tyrannosaurus Chicken – (Ft. Smith AR), Speakeasy –(Springfield MO), Cletus Got Shot – (Fayetteville AR), Sam Cox – (Tulsa OK), Lacy Morris – (Bentonville AR), and FOS Project Band- (Springdale AR). In spring of 2011, NWA, Southeast MO, and the surrounding areas were inundated with severe weather, causing floods, severe thunder storms, and tornadoes and resulting in catastrophic natural disaster. This left many dead, injured, homeless… In the wake of such storms, neighbors scrambled to help neighbor, some not having help themselves, some pouring in from every imaginable city and state in response. Many working from the moment disaster struck, long into the following nights and days, with no regard to themselves and their own safety. The focus for this year’s festival is to be able to provide funding and awareness for NWASF’s Veronica Post Firefighter/EMT/First Response Scholarship. The Northwest Arkansas Sunshine Foundation believes that one of the most important factors that determine the outcomes of natural disaster is the ability of the community to respond quickly and effectively. That is why we are committed to investing in the education and training of men and women who choose to commit their lives to being the first to respond to others in their greatest time of need. Veronica Post Scholarship
With your support, the Veronica Post Scholarship Fund will provide financial assistance to those seeking a degree, certification, or continuing education in an emergency medical services or firefighting profession.
