The 2023 UNCF Masked Ball – Twin Cities celebrated its return after a three and a half-year hiatus, raising $200,000 for the UNCF Minneapolis/St. Paul. This significant fundraising event honored ESSENCE Ventures President and CEO Caroline Wanga, who delivered the keynote address.

Inspiring keynote by the honorable Judge Jerry Blackwell, remarks by Senator Bobby Joe Champion and hosted by Angela Davis. A night of inspiration, fundraising and live music by L.A. I was a “little” busy last night producing the 8th Annual UNCF Masked Ball Twin Cities. The first year back in person since the pandemic and it was truly like a homecoming as we featured our own Caroline Wanga, President & CEO of Essence Ventures. I will never forget her speech and so happy my daughter Riley was in the room to hear her inspiring story. We raised money for UNCF scholarships and celebrated HBCUs…It truly was a party with a purpose! 🙌🏽🎉 Thanks again to my event team…the best to do it! Welcome Riley to the team! 💕
