Duchy Chef was founded in 2017 as a result of one chef’s passion to showcase local produce and create exciting dishes outside of the restaurant environment, making finer dining accessible to all.
With formidable talent, an all-encompassing passion for all-things food and a love for seasonal, local produce, Duchy Chef’s founder Craig Barrett is classically trained and has a background in working for some of London’s finest establishments.
By building long-lasting relationships with award winning local suppliers and working with a range of Cornish venues to creating exciting pop-up events around the region, Duchy Chef has fast become one of Cornwall’s leading private chef and exclusive events catering companies.
“For as long as I can remember, food and amazing produce have been the focus of my day. Whether it was cooking with my dad (Also a chef) or picking the spoils from my grandfather’s greenhouse, food always came first! When we moved to Cornwall, something about the sea air and cooking fish from the day boats inspired my cooking renaissance. It gave me a real appreciation of our stunning landscape, from which we get so much fabulous produce.
