Over the past couple of weeks I have been advertising Christmas wreath making workshops, but if this is not for you or you are busy on our workshop date I will be creating a handful of bespoke pre made wreaths this year.
Wreaths will be fresh and moss based. They are to be displayed outside. Each wreath will be made to order and £50.

Summer shades of English grown flowers. This bouquet is part of a year's subscription. Today the recipients told me that they will be making their own Christmas cards and they will feature 11 months of seasonal bouquets. What a lovely idea ❤️🌿

Hello! After taking a few months to settle into my new part time job I was honoured to be asked to create a very special floral farewell. So much thought and love went into this truly personal tribute for a much loved mum and granny. 11 seasonal plants were fixed in to the moss base and each were gifted to family/ friends to enjoy in their gardens. The foliage and some flowers, including the lady's favourite aquilegia were cut from her garden, rosemary for rememberance and bottle brush, another favourite. White roses and yellow freesias were included, as they were in the lady's wedding bouquet. These will be pressed and dried by the lady's daughter.
The tribute was taken to the wake and placed by a photograph before being dismantled. All compostable and the tray base reusable.
The lady loved her garden and so a very fitting tribute. 🌿
Winter sunshine at Wicken Fen on a sunny afternoon. I just wanted to let you know that I may be a little quiet on here for a while as I settle in to a new part time job. I will continue to work with flowers, so please do get in touch if you have an occasion for flowers.
Sunny colours between friends, ranunculus and mimosa to add joy and cheer during miserable times. Arranged and delivered in a vase making life a little easier for the poorly friend. If you are sending flowers to someone local to Ely or within 5 miles I can deliver in one of my vases and collect at a later date. 🌿
A simple and subtle way to add some flowers. These delicate jars were for a Celebration of Life. Nothing too bright, but a gentle nod to spring, a few wintery colours and seasonal catkins.

As well as events, weddings, funerals, memorials, gifts and workshops I also create floral installations for private homes, businesses, shop windows and modelling shoots.
This woodland inspired clock surround was create for a client's fairy garden during lockdown. The garden was at the front of the house and the idea was to give children something to enjoy whilst on their daily walk.

This week I am preparing to create some simple table arrangements for a memorial. These will be gifted to a care home after the memorial, what a lovely gesture!
When I work with my customers I like to discuss what could happen to the flowers after the occasion. We often come up with ways in which the flowers can continue to be enjoyed. Here are some of these ideas...
🌿 Given away to guests as small posies.
🌿 Plants potted up to be planted out in the gardens of friends and family.
🌿 Gifted to a special place.
If flowers are to be placed on a grave or at a memorial site I can created something that's completely compostable, so that there's no chance of ribbons, cellophane or floral foam being left to litter the environment.
Florals for all of life's occasions. Flowers that are a true reflection of the season at the time of your event. I can talk you through what's available and how we can create something beautiful using seasonal flowers and nature's treasures. If it's roses in February that you are after I am not your florist.

Slowing down. Taking a moment to reset, reflect and focus on the days ahead.
Creating for a returning customer. The bottle brush in our garden is doing really well so I snipped a few stems and added in some gorgeous lime green catkins. This morning's wreathing was accompanied by coffee and Fearne Cotton's Happy Place Podcast with Bear Grylls. In 2023 I hope I can be a little bit more 'comfortable with uncertainty'.
I love photographing my commissioned wreaths against the snow! This wreath was hung on a beautiful red door with stained glass windowpanes, doorway of dreams!
Creating commissions on a snowy day. This wreath had touches of frost amongst the greens. A total joy to create with a cup of coffee and a podcast.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of creating table centerpieces for the 60th Anniversary of Leckhampton House, Corpus Christi College.
The brief was seasonal and local to reflect the produce being used for the anniversary dinner. I was given permission to cut foliage from the 2 acres of manicured gardens. The flowers were grown in Stapleford (Midnight Garden) and Sawston (Nature's Posy), a mixture of dahlias and chrysanthemums. Poppy seed heads and Chinese Lanterns were kindly donated by my father in law along with ivy and passion flower vine by my friend Amy and dahlias by Judith.
The flowers and foliage were arranged in glass vases with chicken wire balls to keep the stems in place, all reusable and no floral foam.
This really was my perfect brief, seasonal and locally grown. Celebrating nature and all it has to offer, being as sustainable as I can be.

This prairie garden has gone to seed, but there were so many treasures to find when I had the pleasure of cutting from this beautiful garden earlier this week.
This is the last week to order your pre made festive wreath.
Each wreath is bespoke and created on a copper wire (reusable) and moss base. I will carefully select a variety of seasonal foliage and adorn your wreath with berries or dried seed heads and flowers, a ribbon is optional.

Trying to lay cardboard for our no dig beds was interesting! We were blown across the paddock. After a couple of hours in sunshine and wind we called it a day when this started. When you can't see through your glasses any more it's time to give up. Can you get glasses with windscreen wipers?
Patiently waiting. This is the 4th year running blue tits have nested in our box! This morning I watched them pull out the fluffy wool from a winter jumper I'd washed and hung on the line to add to their nest. I saw on another flower farmer's Instagram that you can leave out the hair from your hairbrush for the birds to use.
Seasonal, English flowers for this bridal bouquet. 'Thank you so much for my beautiful flowers!!! I had so many lovely comments about them, they were absolutely perfect!! I love them, especially the willow ring and the beautiful colours, so fresh and spring like.' Mrs S

The less glamorous job of running a flower plot (and there are many!) It was time to give our IBC a clean before repositioning it in readiness for using our essential purchase of a battery operated pump so we can water the plot more effectively.
