COSPLAY COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Upon registration, all contestants must provide all the necessary info
rmation outlined in the registration sheet.
3. All contestants must provide a hard copy of the picture and description of the character they shall be cosplaying at the event.
4. All contestants MUST register a week before the competition (Deadline of registration is on September 22, 2016).
5. Cosplay props are to be checked in w/ security or organizer before they will be allowed in the area. Keep prop weapons in convention areas. If you leave the premises or go out into public for any reason, please put away all prop weapons for safety purposes.
6. If you’re going to use audio for your showmanship/performance. Submit it to us a week before the competition. (Deadline of submission is on September 22, 2016).
7. Contestants shall have corresponding time limits for their on-stage performance. Contestants shall have a maximum of two MINUTES for their performance. Exceeding the time provided by less than two minutes will result in a minimal deduction from the overall score of the contestant. Exceeding the time provided by more than two minute will result in a maximum deduction from the overall score of the contestant or even disqualification.
8. The Organizers reserve the right to adjust the rules of this competition in any way it sees fit and disqualify any entry for non-compliance of the rules and regulations.
9. Be aware that the general public may not understand cosplay. Be careful when cosplaying outside the venue.
10. By entering the competition, the participants agree to abide all the terms and conditions as set out to this document. Participants who disobey the rules will be disqualified. COSPLAY COMPETITION JUDGING CRITERIA
40% - Craftsmanship (difficulty and attention to details of costume and character portrayed.)
30% - Characterization (identifies the real character portrayed.)
20% - Showmanship (collaboration of creativeness, innovativeness to project the character convincingly.)
10% - Audience Impact (captures the audience interest effectively.)
