Our little Filipino wedding business just turned 5! 😱That’s 5 years of helping hundreds of Filipino couples celebrate their love and cultures on their wedding day ♥️
Though I was born in Philippines, I grew up in Canada and was really disconnected from my Filipino heritage. In my twenties, we travelled back to my Dad’s hometown in Bulacan for the first time, and that began my journey to reconnecting with my roots and culture.
When Jérôme and I started planning our wedding in 2018, we knew we wanted to incorporate my Filipino culture and Jérôme’s Québécois identity. But we honestly didn’t know how. Google kept turning up empty 🤷🏽♀️ and it was a struggle to find ceremony items like the cord, veil, or coins. We knew other couples were probably struggling too.
And that’s how Sinta & Co. was born! ✨A Filipino wedding boutique for the Filipino diaspora✨ Everything is handcrafted by artisans in the Philippines to create sustainable livelihood and reconnect you to home ♥️
We’re so grateful to your support! Because of you, we’ve grown our team, opened a wedding showroom in Toronto (currently closed as we open a BIGGER one). And next month, we’re doing our FIRST pop-up ever in LA! (Link in bio to RSVP!)
MARAMING SALAMAT for your support and helping us grow. Did we get to be part of your wedding? Comment and share your story with us! #SintaWeddings
Check out @josiie_xx and @lentzlundy’s multicultural Filipino - Haitian - Canadian - Algerian winter wedding 🇵🇭🇭🇹🤍🇨🇦🇩🇿
On their big day, every moment was spent with loved ones, honoring their roots and embracing their journey together 🌺💍
In a heartfelt nod to Lentz’s Filipino heritage, they had breathtaking performances of the traditional Tinikling dance and Pandanggo sa Ilaw 💃🏽🕯️
🌾 Tinikling involves dancers stepping between and over rapidly moving bamboo poles, mimicking the movements of the tikling birds. This dance symbolizes resilience and harmony, making it a beautiful addition to any wedding celebration.
🕯️ Pandanggo sa Ilaw involves balancing lit candles , showcasing skill and grace. It symbolizes light and guidance, representing the couple’s bright future together ✨
