What do I do if I want to go to both and ?
With two major events occurring within the World of Adrasil this year, this is one of our most frequently asked questions!
So, how can you do this with the difference in factions at each event?
1. Play as your same character but in a different faction. This option makes sense if your faction is already allied with your new faction and not fighting a former ally (i.e., A Hearth-Guard player could join the Order of Luminos, which is neutral to the Hearth-Guard, or the Sea Lords or Themisians, which are allied to the Hearth-Guard). If you choose this option, keep in mind that you are officially becoming a part of that faction for the duration of the event. That means no sabotaging, spying, etc. This is part of what we call “the spirit of the game” - you can easily follow the rules for the event and still ruin your or others’ experiences by undermining the spirit of fair play and immersion that we have striven so hard to put in place. For example, if you are a Hearth-Guard officer, you can join the Themisians but would need to BE a Themisian for that event - your rank would not carry over, and you would have to make sure you follow all faction aesthetic rules.
2. Create a New Character: Maybe you and your friends are all Hearth-Guard, but you want to be Rangers for the main event. Do it! But keep in mind that having a whole bevy of Hearth-Guard fighting their allies (Sea Lords and Themisians) may complicate diplomacy for your faction, so maybe it would be easier to join the faction as new characters. Plus, this allows you to explore Adrasil from a different perspective fully. How fun is that?
We love the chance to expand our world, but we want to preserve the immersion and sense of continuity in our game. We, as game-runners, can set the stage for this to occur, but we require you, as the players, to bring your sense of community spirit and fair play to the game to make it a success.
We cannot wait to see you expand your characters as we expand our game.
