Did you know that, in addition to being able to purchase early check-in for Thursday, October 17th, you can also purchase a spot in our first-ever foraging workshop?
Join New York Times bestselling author of survival books, Tim MacWelch, for

The workshop will cost $30 for three hours of training. The foraging workshop will begin at 3pm. Please note that this workshop does not include a meal! Please ensure that you bring food for yourself, or are able to go off-site to acquire it! You will need food (and caffeine!) for Thursday lunch and Friday morning.

Have you heard of our newest event, ? This event will take place in the Weekend Warrior universe, but will focus solely on events happening in the Hearthlands - one of the realms within Adrasil, the world of Weekend Warrior.

With a smaller group of players and a focused storyline, this event will have plenty of fighting, but also the ability to focus on camp life and question. Queen Tove has called a great council - will you attend?

Tickets go on sale June 15th at noon EST for veterans, and open up to the public at noon EST on July 15!

📯Attention Weekend Warrior Veterans! 📯

Tickets go on sale for veterans THIS Saturday, June 1! At 12pm EST we will send you a link where you can purchase your tickets. If you haven’t been receiving the Weekend Warrior 2024 emails, please first check your spam folder, then email [email protected].

Tickets will go on sale to the public (I.e new players) on July 1. With all the new White Horse Solutions events we now host, we do not believe that we will sell out quite as quickly as we have in the past. Even so, we encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as you’re sure you can attend. Tickets can be sold or transferred to another player, but you will need to email the above address to receive the form. Please note that tickets are not refundable, and that this is a rain or shine event!

We will be sharing more information about WW 2024 over the next few months, so stay tuned!

A week from today we will be hosting our very first “Character” oriented Training Grounds! This one-day event is based solely on honing your RP and kit/character building skills! There’s still time to buy a ticket - but kit rental closes Monday night! So if this is your first event and you want to attend, but you don’t have a kit, make sure you get your order placed this weekend!

Your workshop instructors for this event will be:
1. Weekend Warrior legend, long-time DM and medieval scholar Carl Garris who will specialize in roleplay and quest building.
2. Professional Acting Coach and Weekend Warrior Veteran Stephen Van Dorn who will guide us in building and inhabiting our character.
3. Fell & Fair Founder Zan Campbell who will instruct on using your costume to enhance your character portrayal.

Add the “Tavern Dinner” to your ticket for a chance to practice your RP skills and eat an excellent dinner afterwards!

Training Grounds: Character is just a week and a half away, but there’s still time to sign up! We are excited to do a deep dive into how to build a character to better immerse yourself and others at our events!

Sessions include: Cooperative Narrative Building, Costume and Your Character, Building a Character Background, Character Values in a Fantasy World, Character Memories and Base Human Emotion & The Hero’s Journey.

Your instructors will be:
1. Weekend Warrior legend, long-time DM and medieval scholar Carl Garris who will specialize in roleplay and quest building.
2. Professional Acting Coach and Weekend Warrior Veteran Stephen Van Dorn who will guide us in building and inhabiting our character.
3. Fell & Fair Founder Zan Campbell who will instruct on using your costume to enhance your character portrayal.

We have a special bonus option at this event! Introducing “Dinner at the Tavern:”

Want to put your new role play skills to good use? Stay for a hearty bowl of stew and an evening at the tavern! From 6pm-9pm We will be serving dinner, (non-alcoholic) drinks and have the area open for you to role play with your friends! Tickets for the evening are $25 and include a bowl of stew (it is naturally gluten free), tavern snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Hello, you! Yes, you. Do you who want to learn more about acting, role play, character building, and all the essential roles outside of combat that make our events enjoyable?

Then listen up! The special May 18th edition of Training Grounds shifts the focus from combat to the role-play element of our events. Role-play is a large part of events like Weekend Warrior, The Hearthlands, and War of the Barons and we’re excited to help players dive more deeply into how to build their character and how to drive story with other players. We will learn from professional acting coaches, experienced role-players, and costume designers as they help us build our characters and get the most out of our experiences to better help us build more beautiful stories together.

This is a great entryway for new players, and excellent for veteran players seeking to deepen their experience!

Do you want to try out one of our combat events, but you’re nervous about jumping into the main event in October? Are you eager to battle again with (and against) your friends? Do you want to test out new gear, or try out a new combat style? Then Training Grounds is the event for you! We have three different Training Grounds this spring (see website for details). Our first Training Grounds is focused on large scale battle, and takes place in Anderson, SC on March 30!

Training Grounds is a mostly immersive event based around your character being sent to a training camp to increase their combat skills. This will be a great event for returning players looking to enhance their skill set, or for new or potential players looking to test the waters and get a feel for what combat at Weekend Warrior & War of the Barons is like.

Unlike our main events, Training Grounds will be less story-driven and more skills-based. We will focus on training and exposure to a variety of weapons in the morning and will teach and practice battle tactics in the afternoon. However, while at the event we will be in character, so prepare to learn how to play your role!

Camping will be available on-site for both Friday and Saturday night for the cost of $20 per person/per night. Porta Johns will be available but no showers or electricity.

For this one-day event, weapon rentals are free. Basic costume rentals will be $25 for the day.

Our hope is that many folks who are considering Weekend Warrior or War of the Barons but are not ready to take the plunge will join us for a little taste of the event. We also expect there will be quite a few veteran players there to set an example for the new recruits!

Have you heard about the new player-run Marketplace?

In the marketplace, only trade is sovereign! Anyone is welcome to trade their wares: whether a craft, a baked good, teas, spices, kit items, and more. No currency may be used in trades (either in-game or out-of-game currency) - this is a barter-only trade location. If you wish to sell your wares for real currency, you can sign up as an official vendor.

For a full list of rules about the marketplace, see our website under “Updates.” Don’t forgot - just like with kit items, all marketplace items must be approved by your faction leadership!

Folk of Adrasil! Tomorrow (September 30) is the LAST day you can order or return rental items (including tents!), and it is also the LAST day you can transfer your tickets from yourself to another player!

If you have sold your ticket, make sure you send your information and the new player’s information (full name, email, faction, whether they need regular, vegan, or gluten free options). Send that information to [email protected] by September 30th or your ticket will not be transferred.

We are now TWO WEEKS away!! Can we get a huzzah?

It is not every player who is brave enough to be a healer! These fearless folk walk into the battle unarmed, and revive our warriors with near-magical skills and ability! Warriors dare not touch them - for legend says that anyone who harms a healer will instantly be struck down by the wrath of the gods…

While the emphasis can often be on the fighting side of Weekend Warrior, we also have lots of opportunities for you to affect the story in smaller ways through quests. Generally, the best time to work on quests is in the evenings after the fighting has died down and folks are more willing to mingle in neutral zones like The Hay Barn or the Marketplace.

We know questing can be a bit intimidating if you’ve never done it before, which is why we have a designated questmaster for each of the large factions! You can also always check in with your faction leadership: more than likely, they will have plenty for you to do. If you are a member of the Themisians, the Order of Luminos, or the Wold Folk, then your faction leader will also be serving as your Questmaster.

Any faction or player can go to the Alchemist to receive a quest… though who knows where it will lead!

Whether simple information gathering or serving as an envoy, you never know when a simple task might turn into a huge plot point!

Feeling a bit intimidated? Check out these questing tips from our veteran players!
If it is your first time, go with a buddy - even if they are new too. Two heads are better than one!

- Check out the Quest board in the Hay Barn. This is the 1st place to check if there might be able special quests from your Faction
- Talk to everyone - you never know who might have a lead on a quest.
- Learn the faces of the NPCs! Most of them are on the website.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions - even across factions!
- If you’re stuck, go to one of the veteran players or officers in your faction - they can be helpful resources when your faction questmaster is busy.

Sometimes quests lead to story-altering scenarios, and sometimes they lead to you throwing a LARP-grade lemon at an NPC. Regardless, you’ll never know until you step out of your comfort zone and begin to quest!

As the leaves fade on the trees, the Wold Wood, or Wiccawold, the large area of forest in the north of Olaran, is becoming the focal point for the border fight between Throi and Olaran. But there are more than these forces under the shadowy canopy of leaves… red-clad Hearthland warriors, Themisians with their long spears, Order members in brown cloaks… and deep in the woods, there is the sound of drums.
