Daniel makes a lot of the knives, blacksmith items, as well as props, leatherworking, and foam pieces. Jennifer dabbles in blacksmith items, but she focuses more on the actual garment construction of the costume/cosplay. Jennifer also teaches sewing for beginners at different locations. We were able to make Emily's vision of a Vader themed wedding dress come to life with the cape!
It was a turtleneck caplet that drapped in the back. We added wire around the seam of it so she could make it form fitted to her.
We think she looked absolutely stunning ! ^_^

Kingsport Senior Center You & Your Sewing Machine. We started our Spring/ Early summer semester and learned how to use our machine. My students gave some awesome feedback on what they'd like to learn over the next few weeks such as capris, napkins, alternations, and a few other things.

The Philosopher's House You and Your Sewing Machine Workshop. I was able to help a dear friend learn how to use her machine. We even started a bowl cozie right before we left.

Corsetmaking final night🪡 so proud of these two!!!
They learned how to put the bias tap around ( will be finishing up by hand sewing), grommet insertion, and lacing ! They looked fantastic!!! 🙌👏
We were also able to squeeze in a how to make a bowl cozie session.

We had some working on linocut projects, restoring a historic jacket for the vampire court, and Hobbit robe progress!!

Cottagecore Corsetmaking Day 1:
We picked out our corset style, cut out the pieces and sewed the first layer .
Also meet Penny the Pincushion. I couldn't handle how cute !!!!

Daniel's Linocut Printing Class at The Philosopher's House last night! Everyone made some creative prints , and we're thankful for everyone that came out.

We had one student learning how to mend a hoodie & learn how to pattern draft capes for action figures for posing ( how cool!!). One student made two pillows that would be perfect for yoga. Then we als had a student that brought two machines to learn both, and see how they worked.

Cosplay Creative Circle is going to be this Saturday, February 17th from 1p.m. -4 p.m. instead of February 24th.

I finally got the hard part out of the way and got the bottom part of the robe cut and sewed together. Phew, that was alot of puzzling pieces together.
Up next I need to line it , add the cuff and collar , and add the closure.
Also excited to use the little maple button to close the robe - Instead of a sash.

122 Patch Work Panels Completed Last Night ✔️
I had already sewed 32 Panels for the bodice of Bilbos Patchwork Hobbit Robe.
Now to iron each panel, sew 90 Panels together, then I can cut out the bottom/skirt part of the robe.

We learned about several machines, how to thread your bobbin and machine, lots of trouble shooting, pillow making, and so much more! Such a fun group!
