When I heard my cousins were coming to town for Christmas, I wanted to celebrate and throw the ultimate Christmas party for family and friends. The Nutcracker holds a special place in my heart. I grew up dancing and every year I take my oldest son to the Nutcracker Ballet. So, the Nutcracker theme was perfect and festive and I called my party the Nutcracker Christmas Ball.
When my guests arrived, they munched and mingled while they awaited their turn for a horse-drawn carriage ride. After the carriage departed, the Sugar Plum Fairy arrived and performed an amazing ballet performance. Then an orchestra quartet sat on the balcony and played traditional Christmas music while my guests learned old-fashioned line dances.
It was truly a magical evening!
