This is such good information for readers to know about how important book reviews are to a writer, especially a self-published one.
I have sold 1600 books in the last two years and have 40 reviews on Amazon. Based on what people have shared with me after reading the book, I think the majority liked it.
I know people are busy and it doesn't cross their mind to do this one little thing that costs them nothing except a few minutes of their time, but it really matters!
Even if you purchased the book at an event and not thru Amazon, you can still write a review.

Rarely do you put pink and red together, but this time it seems appropriate. Would you please consider ordering my little book for Christmas? If you are local, I’d be happy to sign it for your friend and make it even more special. Do you have a girlfriend Christmas gift exchange? Your bunco group? Your wine and whine group? Your pickle ball friends? Your hockey/baseball/football/sports moms? Your yoga teacher? A friend who loves to read?
