📄 Woods Fighting Prather For UBO Title, April 12 In Springfield.

- An extremely intriguing fight pitting two promising up-and-comers for the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (North America) Middleweight title is set for April 12 in Springfield, Missouri.

Antonio “Superbad” Woods (12-0, 10 KOs), fighting out of Minneapolis, takes on Deshawn “Squito” Prather (17-1, 2 KOs) from Kansas City.

Woods (29) turned professional in 2019 following an accomplished amateur campaign, and, except for a split decision over undefeated Darian Weeks in his sixth fight, has yet to be really tested in the paid code.

Nine of his twelve opponents have failed to make it through two rounds, and he will, it appears, enter the fight against Prather with a clear edge in punching-power.

But Prather (26), who hasn't lost since his second outing, a month after winning his debut in May of 2018, will be looking to neutralize that edge with his superior professional experience.

He has defeated higher quality opponents, including tricky veteran Dedrick Bell and another unbeaten prospect in 11-0 Kevin Ceja Ventura last July, so he will be confident his boxing skills can lead him to victory.

Both will arguable be facing their best opponent so far, in what is the first title-opportunity for both and a genuine fifty-fifty fight.
