🎂Year 26, started with something like this….
-
I was once this young, dark skin, chub chub African girl who was insecure and never felt like who I was or looked like would fit in. The world wanted me and my peers to hate ourselves SO bad. And still do…. “Your hair is too nappy” “you’re pretty for a black girl” “African b***y scratcher”. Or when I was told I was fat because I was curvy just for girls now to pay for what I have….. no shade….
And for some time, they succeeded.

As a youngin I would hope and pray for me to be able to embrace myself and who I was. I was so wrapped up in the negative that I couldn’t see how amazing of a soul I was.
And I’m soooo happy to say that I am exactly who my younger self dreamed of. A young, successful, beautiful boss chick who is worthy.
To be fully embraced in my sense of self and excel in being ME. Unapologetically. To share my light and life story with the world. And to inspire others to always be the BEST them they could ever be. Because we really are made JUST the way we are. No replica. In the image of God. Perfection.

Y’all have made this one of the BEST birthdays in the books. Reading all of your messages, your blessings, and stories about my existence in your life has made me such an emotional wreck! Ugh my heart is so overfilled with joy knowing that I’ve been a light in many of yours lives despite how I felt about myself.
And that goes to show how in our head we are sometimes about our self image.

But I am blessed beyond measures to have shared any and all experiences with y’all. Either it’s with an old time friend, newly made friends, or my internet pals. Thank you.
Thank you for embracing me in your lives and being such supportive and loving beings.
I’m so happy to have healed my inner child wound and to be fruitful walking hand in hand with God’s favor over me.
Cheers to year 26 y’all! Cheers to going after everything in life, with or without fear! Cheers to trusting God through it all. And cheers to being unapologeticlly you. Thank you. I love you. ❤️
