NEW: Accommodation at the Cateran Dirt Dash.

Our new finish for the Dexshell Cateran Dirt Dash is at the Highland Boundary Distillery on Alyth Hill, just a few hundert meters from the town.

For those of you who come from futher afield, we have also liaised with Marian and Simon, the owners, who rent out the nice Kirklandbank Farmhouse.

You can stay in the self-catering accommodation from Friday 3rd May 4.00pm to Monday 5th May 10.00am (3 nights). There is a shared kitchen/dining room and sitting room as well as secure storage whilst you are out on a ride.

There are 3 ensuite bedrooms at £220 per room.

Bedroom 1: Ground floor, east wing, double en-suite shower-room
Bedroom 2: Upper east wing, twin or super-king with en-suite bathroom
Bedroom 3: Upper east wing double bedroom with en-suite shower room
And 2 rooms with a shared shower room at £180 per room.

Bedroom 4: Upper west wing, twin or super-king
Bedroom 5: Upper west wing, twin or super-king
The bedroom numbers are as per the website, where there are a layout plan and photos.

We are excited to work with the Cateran Ecomuseum at this year’s Dexshell Cateran Dirt Dash to tell you more about the cultural & natural heritage in this part of Scotland, supported by

We’ll have more details soon - currently we are looking at how we can enrich your experience on the two days with more information about the sites you pass.

And once again we’ll have the founder of the Cateran Trail, Bob Ellis, in our event team - who’ll motivate you with snacks before the biggest climb of day1 - and one of the best downhills in the Cairngorms afterwards. If you want to join us, please don’t leave it too late. At the moment there are still a good number of entries left, but we have had a great interest in the first Dash of 2025.

Nice memories from the first Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash last year. We had a wet but fun weekend - and on 5/6 July we are back. And hopefully with wall to wall sunshine this year!

The Yorkshire Coast Dirt Dash was inspired by the Route YC Adventure Weekender Route, which Markus designed last year. For 2025 we have a new route, with a few less climbs, more gravel and the same great start and finish location at YHA Whitby.
