Somewhere in the past Elopements got a bad rep…
Elopements aren’t just courthouse weddings or last-minute decisions—they’re intentional, deeply personal celebrations.
They’re not about running away in secret or skipping traditions; they’re about creating a day that’s entirely focused on you.
Eloping doesn’t mean you can’t have beautiful florals, luxury details, or even a small group of loved ones—it just means ditching the stress and expectations of a big wedding.
It’s not selfish, and it’s certainly not something you’ll regret.

My obsession with Italy is on another level.
After spending dreamy summer days there—like this one—I’ve been manifesting my future Italian life. Will I actually move there? Probably not. But will I keep dreaming (and casually browsing Zillow Italy)? Absolutely. 🏡 🏔️🍇

Lately, I’ve been binge-watching every movie about Americans moving to Italy—because what’s better than a life filled with love, pasta, and scenic piazzas? 🍝 💘

While a one-way ticket may not be in my near future, I am ready to go back and capture some incredible love stories. Just say the word—my airline search tab is always open. 💻 🔎💺

Also, can we talk about how getting married overseas isn’t nearly as complicated as we make it out to be? Shooting a wedding in Florence felt surprisingly similar to shooting one in Paso Robles California —just with a lot more historic charm (and better carbs).

When the inspo is…. “You are my best friend” 🫶🏽🥹
Engagement photos! I’m lowkey obsessed with these shoots… they are relaxed… playful… romantic and endearing. 🥰
This session was all about showing their love and friendship with each other. We went to their favorite place … we even started out with them paddle boarding with their pups, and then posed with his vintage car… but my favorite part of the shoot was when they were wrapped in each others arms and being silly with each other. As you can see in these photos. 👩🏼‍❤️‍👨🏽

One of my all time favorite locations to shoot in the Bay Area… 📍Palace of Fine Arts.
If you haven’t gone… I highly recommend.
If you’re eloping at SF city hall or anywhere in or near SF city… consider popping over to Palace of Fine Arts for very lux dramatic photo location.
It also would make an epic engagement photo location.

I stay so busy capturing the magic of “big days” that I often find myself looking ahead—anticipating the next amazing couple, the next breathtaking location, and the excitement of delivering timeless memories. But every now and then, something pulls me back. Like today, when I was reminded of this stunning SF City Hall wedding I photographed two years ago.

The memory came rushing back during a conversation with a 2025 bride who’s dreaming up her own SF City Hall elopement. It hit me—these aren’t just your cherished memories. They’re mine too. Every gallery I deliver holds a piece of my heart, and I feel so grateful to have played a role in these intimate, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

It’s a reminder for me to pause, reflect, and honor the beautiful stories I’ve been entrusted with over the years.

This year has been a bit of a roller coaster for me in life and business. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is feeling that. But I try and focus on gratitude when life gets heavy.
On of the top things I’m grateful for everyday is YOU!

I really love doing this work. Even when it gets hard… I can’t imagine not doing this work.

I’m now a big fan of sunset ceremonies 😍
The light was so good and the hills were full of color for Daniel + Lauren’s ceremony this weekend. These are just a few sneak peeks and I’m drooling over the creamy soft light.
The beauty of an intimate wedding is you have the time flexibility to pull off a later ceremony. And boy am I glad they did.
Creating a timeline for a wedding day isn’t easy. But with my experience as a planner and photographer I am here to help you figure out where to fit In the elements in order to get the outcome that you want. This timeline took some strategic planning… like getting most of the portraits done pre ceremony.

I think this is the first year in 4 years that I did not shoot in Joshua Tree. And that makes me sad. So I’m putting this one up here to maybe inspire a couple who wants to elope in Joshua Tree.
Reasons why couples and I love it!
1. It’s just a majestic place. So peaceful and unique that it allows for not only amazing photos but a calm and romantic day.
2. The sunsets are out of a movie.
3. Its close to Palm Springs so an option to do a two dayer elopement in JT + day after in PS
4. The surrounding airbnbs are always so cute and great for getting ready location and your private picnic. My favorite is

Wow, I’ve been hit right in the feels again. 💛
Julian and Kristina’s love gave me chills from start to finish. There was just something so special about them—like a kind of magic in the air all day long. ✨
One detail that really stood out was Julian’s playlist. He didn’t just throw together some typical love songs; he carefully curated a collection of the most beautiful, non-cliché tracks. I knew from the first few songs, as Kristina was getting ready, that this guy truly adores her and goes out of his way to make her feel cherished. 🎶
And I wasn’t wrong. From their first look to every moment that followed, you could just feel the calmness and joy radiating between them. It was like being near each other was all they needed to feel completely at peace. ☺️
Later, surrounded by their friends and family, I kept catching those sweet, love-filled glances they shared, like little secrets only they understood. 😘
It’s love like theirs that fills my heart with so much joy and inspiration. Being part of a couple’s journey, capturing the day they choose to become one—it’s truly a gift, and I’m so grateful for it. 🎁

Okay okay… so I’m sure you’ve seen the talk about how wedding and elopement days are more than just a photo shoot. 📸
Well I’ve been on that trend for a long long time. Always driving to capture the real and raw emotions that are actually happening and not posing every moment of the day.
My favorite example of REAL AND RAW FUN is from and .wagon wedding day.

The dreamiest family sunset picnic I ever did see.
This sweet couple eloped but still wanted their families apart of their day. So to get best of both worlds they kept the first half of the day just to themselves.
We hiked, did a first look and had a private picnic with just the two of them. 🌄🧺
Then the second half of the day included their families with the ceremony, portraits and a sunset picnic. 💍 🌅
A lot of couples come to me struggling on what to do. Because they really want to elope but their families are having a hard time with not being there. I always tell them we can include your family in your elopement day. We can create an elopement experience that still gives you the alone time and intimate feeling and some time with family so they are there to witness the nuptials and get to be apart of the celebration. Everything is custom to each couple.
