Happy Indigenous People's Day, today and every day we celebrate our heritage, our accomplishments, our love, our leadership roles, our babies, and our strength in all the communities we serve, on and off the reservation, speaking our language and or just English, with our Native jewelry or regular outfits, we exist and that's our resistance which also in turn changes all institutions we serve, whether y'all want us to or not.

Weddings in the winter on Navajoland? Yes, please. We were very honored to capture this couple's wedding and celebration and practice with some drone footage, spoiler alert, it was like a 6/10 because video editing is HARD but this couple allowed us to capture some moments. Navajo weddings will always be our favorite. Congratulations to this couple and blessings and rest for their busy schedules. 🖤

We meet and work with the coolest folks in town and were honored to take new headshots for the New Mexico Doula Association at the amazing where we got to see the beautiful crops growing and goats around! We love giving an organization some great shots to share their mission.

"And he knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring, and said will you marry me?" I am not going to lie, every time we witness love or milestones, I cry. It is extremely hard to hold back tears and make sure these moments are in focus but we make it happen. This surprise proposal was so sweet and everyone was so nice and welcoming. We got the best carne adovada from the after dinner, so good.

We attended the El Paso PRIDE parade and it was joyful, colorful, and welcoming, we loved all the flags, the love, the doggies with their scarfs, and beauty all around us. Love always wins!
