My Story
Tripp Baronner epitomizes an artist fully immersed in the modern underground dance industry. An extensive knowledge working for the highly successful Silk Music combined with ownership of two established imprints and a quickly growing podcast series has seen Tripp’s stature grow rapidly over a five-year period.
Initially working closely with Jacob Henry, Baronner quickly learnt the value of showcasing artists on Silk Music Showcase before extending his role within the larger Proton structure. Gaining a thorough understanding of the day-to-day machinations of a digital distribution structure under the guidance of Jason Wohlstadter, Tripp became Proton’s first intern and responsible for duties within Proton Music and Particles.
Fully versed in label licensing services, Tripp’s own Yin and Yang record labels provided the next logical step. Today, he oversees the rise and growing reputation of a pair of imprints with a uniquely symbiotic relationship. Building a close relationship with an ever-evolving network of high-calibre artists and industry professionals, Yin and Yang continue to go from strength to strength.
In conjunction with Spanish artist GuyRo, the “Dialectics” podcast series was thus an inevitable fourth string to an ever more powerful bow. Quickly gaining listeners and streams with each passing edition, the series delivers an immaculate blend of music from established and exciting new artists. Expertly curated and crafted from Tripp’s unrivaled familiarity with the Proton label roster, “Dialectics” thus provides a platform for an evolving desire to work on mix projects.
