Creating Custom Items for Life's Special Days
In October of 2011 I decided to open my Etsy shop as a way to keep the "creative" side of me happy. As a full time Reports Analyst, I was always working with spreadsheets, databases, and reports (numbers, numbers, numbers!!), but I LOVE crafts, so this was a perfect way for me to create while also being able to continue paying bills. :-) With some creative budgeting and the support of my better half, I was able to take on my Etsy shop as a full time endeavor in January of 2017. It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself. I look forward to every day now being able to create new items for my shop AND having time to take care of my family and things around the house (without going crazy!! LOL) My decision in the beginning to create wedding accessories that could be personalized for each unique couple was easy. How wonderful to have a small part in so many weddings. I do many custom orders and love personalizing items in the special ways people request. Most of the wedding listings in my shop have a rustic, country look to them. Being from Vermont, the natural country feel appeals to me. I'm always ready to branch out though and try new ideas and designs when opportunity presents itself. In the last year or so I've added shop items for other holidays and occasions...dog bandanas, kitchen towels, co****le game bags, etc...
