What a wonderful season we had at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival! One of my favorite things about being a merchant is getting to see so many different costumes and the creativity that all the patrons have! We get to have so many conversations and sometimes even get tips from other makers!

Thank you to all who visited our shop this year! You guys truly make this festival the best in the country! Till November, my friends... stay well and live long and prosper!

This past Saturday night was the RESCU rally at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. In case you didn't know, it's an after party at the festival dedicated to raising funds for medical costs for the people that help make the magic happen.

This year, with permission from Louisiana Renaissance Festival, we made a one of a kind shield with a larf logo and autographed by all the magnificent performers! It raised $300 at auction! Thank you so much to this generous person for supporting the cause!

Also... tickets are sold out for Festival this Saturday and Sunday! Get your tickets early for Thanksgiving weekend! We will be open Friday in addition to Sat and Sunday! Only 3 weekends left!

Quick story. In 2021, a young girl came into our booth at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival and fell in love with a sword very similar to the one pictured. It was early in the day and her parents told her they would come back later if she looked around and still wanted it. They came back and it was gone. She was devastated. I told her there might be another next year.

She came back in 2022, but the one I had was already gone. She again visited in 2023 with the same result. And I told her that I'd make another for 2024 and hold it in the back until toward the end of the festival.

Mr and Mrs Tipsy did a little pre-gaming for the Louisiana Renaissance Festival (opening next weekend) with Bayou Keepsakes at the Slidell Zombie Crawl. So much fun! So many costumes! So many ales!

Back home from Florida! Thanks for showing the love! We had a good time with only one hiccup along the way. Seems that Mrs Tipsy was attacked by hole and ended up with a broken humerous, but the show must go on. The rest of the crew survived unscathed!
