After a two year hiatus, I'm exploring the idea of bringing Food Fete back next year, with some fresh, new elements to create more value for brands and media.

What do you think? What would you like to see in Food Fete 2.0?

To my Facebook food & beverage brand connections.

The Summer Fancy Food Show is coming up, so if you're short on PR/Communications resources and need some short-term assistance, I'm your guy.

I can jump right in with updating messaging and website content, as well as writing new product announcements and social media posts for very reasonable rates.

I've maintained many food media relationships from my Food Fete days, giving me an edge that others might not have.

E: [email protected] to discuss your needs.

On-Demand PR for Specialty Food & Beverage Brands

Among other projects I’m working on in 2019, I recognized an opportunity to offer temporary, on-demand PR and communications services to food & beverage brands, particularly to support upcoming food trade shows.

So, if you’re launching new food and beverage products, and need some temporary PR help, we should talk.

What I’m offering is best suited to smaller food & beverage brands with limited or no in-house PR resources that need help now, but can't commit to a long-term arrangement.

Many of you know I produced Food Fete media events for 13 years, the food industry’s premiere product showcase media event. Though I wrapped up my events business in 2017, I had the good fortune to establish strong relationships with nationally recognized food editors, bloggers, nutritionists and industry influencers.

The truth is, I’m not looking to start my own food PR agency, but rather to put my experience and relationships to work for a handful of clients needing interim help with messaging, writing, media outreach and social media.

If this on-demand PR concept fits your needs, email me at [email protected] to start the conversation.

The Best is Yet to Come

Between 2005-'17, Food Fete was the first and standard-setting media event that showcased new specialty food & beverage products to top food editors and bloggers. PR agencies liked how we helped them better serve their clients, and brands with limited PR resources got access to influential food writers.

Last summer, I announced Food Fete was coming to a close, but things change. I'll soon be announcing the first of several new Food Fete-branded events in 2018 that I believe will better meet a changing industry landscape, address more business problems, and reach more people.

Food Fete loyalists may not recognize our events going forward, however, I believe the new level of value we're creating will go far beyond press relationships to the heart of what small-to-medium sized food companies need most right now.

If you’re not following us on social media, I hope you will, and if we're not connected on LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffdavis), invite me to connect if you believe we have genuinely shared interests.

Change is good, so join us on this new ride!

UPDATE; Food Fete may not be going away after all. We're working on a pivot to significantly change the focus and format of the event.

Nothing is scheduled just yet, but as soon as we figure things out, you'll be hearing from us.

Looking forward to 2018!

After 13 years of producing the industry's first sponsored media event for specialty food brands, I’ve decided to move on from Food Fête and bring the events to a close.

Since 2005, I’ve produced 40+ events that have connected hundreds of food brands and journalists, giving me the pleasure and honor of working with some of the smartest people in the business.

My new WonderHouse project is next, so follow us there to learn more about how we're building an experiential framework around media events. www.wonderhouseevents.com.

Food Fête Says Adieu

We’re all familiar with the proverb that all good things must come to an end, and if you’ve had the good fortune of building a business from scratch, you can’t help but wonder about the day when you move on to something new.

For me, that day has arrived for Food Fête.

So, what’s next?

I’ll be focusing my energies and resources on my new WonderHouse project (www.wonderhouseevents.com), an experiential media event for lifestyle brands. Experiential marketing has captured my attention for several years now, and even served as the catalyst for launching my SamplingLab concept in 2014.

I see tremendous opportunities to deliver a more creative and robust media experience to lifestyle brands by making the most of experiential marketing strategies and user feedback. I also have some other projects on the drawing board, so stay tuned. Who knows? Food Fête might even re-emerge in a completely new format in 2019.

Food Fête has been an amazing experience that has made me extremely proud. I’m also very grateful for all the innovative food brands and creative public relations representatives who have taken the Food Fête ride with me over the years. They have inspired me, and I'll keep those relationships going with new projects that offer something new to their clients.

For now, the best way to stay updated on my current and future projects is to follow WonderHouse on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter social media channels.

Thanks, and until next time...

Jeff Davis

Living in the Houston area, it's been heartbreaking to see the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. I was fortunate to have been spared the flooding, but want to do what I can.

I've decided to donate 10% of all Food Fete exhibitor sales between now and Sept. 10 to the Red Cross to assist hurricane victims.

That's $300 per new exhibitor, so if you've been considering our fall event, now is the time to pull the trigger.

Thanks.

Thanks for all the Memories

After 13 years of bringing together food brands and the food media, I’ve decided (for now) to put Food Fete on hiatus.

Other projects and opportunities are in front of me that are capturing my attention, so I’ll be focusing on those for the near term.

If circumstances come along that enable me to elevate Food Fete to a point where it becomes more valuable for food, beverage and kitchenware brands, I’ll look at bringing it back.

Thanks.
