Beyond The Crypt Goth Night!
Friday Febuary 9th from 8:30pm untill 12:30am.
**All Ages welcome** Join us at Flying Panther: 2442 Centre Ave NW, Roanoke - Suggested Donation $5-$10

DJ Night Terror - Spinning darkwave, post-punk, industrial, deathrock, ebm, dark bass, synthpop and more.

Please bring your own AGE APPROPRATE beverages, NO underage drinking allowed.
Wear whatever you like! Some people like to get all dressed up, some people just wear black, some people wear bright fun colors! There's no judgment here.

**IMPORTANT**
FLYING PANTHER is kind enough to let us use their warehouse. This is private property, NOT a venue. Enter at your own risk, no one is responsible for your wellbeing or safety except for you. **No under age drinking. No Drugs. No altercations. If you do you'll be asked to leave. This is a safe space.
Drink responsibly and don't drive drunk, an event coordinator can help you find a safe ride if you're unable to do so yourself. Don't accept drinks, rides, etc., from anyone you don't know well. Be safe and have fun!

Beyond The Crypt
Beyond The Crypt is a monthly goth night reoccurring on the 2nd Friday of every month, originally started in 2018 at The Front Row in Downtown Roanoke, VA, then with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic we moved to a live stream on Twitch and currently we are back to in-person at Flying Panther.

Thanks again for another great Goth Night. Our graveyard sale & swap went well (as you can see in the video). I know I missed a few requests and I'm sorry about that.

I also got a lot of requests for bands that already played. Which I'm not totally opposed to, with so many great bands out there I enjoy the diversity.
Regardless I hope everyone had a great time and I'm looking forward to our Halloween spooktacular!

I wanted to make a quick post for all the people looking to help out with goth night here in Roanoke. Here's where we truly need assistance:

💀Setup and Takedown: Hands on deck to help prepare before goth night starts and assist with takedown afterwards. *Requires some instruction beforehand.

💀Goth Aesthetics: Contributions to props and elements that enhance the goth night ambiance.

💀Promotion: Spreading the word via social media and personal connections.

💀Community Building: Welcoming new attendees, initiating conversations, and encouraging dancing. This will make the environment more inclusive.

💀Cleaning: Help with tidying up the space before and after the event.

If you'd like to help out, please feel free to talk to me at goth night, message me on my personal account Jeff Heveron as I will see it quicker or here is okay too.

Attention film and TV show creators - there are in fact actually other dark creepy songs besides Bella Lugosi Is Dead 🤦

Two recent shows I've started watching have both used it, also a movie. The song was first released in 1979 and used in The movie The Hunger in 1983 (Great movie if you haven't seen it).

"The song was featured in numerous films and TV shows including The Hunger, Smallville, The Curve, Good Luck Chuck, The Collector, Fringe, Supernatural, American Horror Story: Hotel, Russian Doll and Marvel's Moon Knight. The song was used as the intro music for the late 1990s Saturday Night Live skit "Goth Talk", which featured Chris Kattan and Molly Shannon as two goth high school students."
