We at Love Local are delighted to bring back

The Curious Farmer!

Joel Kerr aka The Curious Farmer is back for our Christmas market with a full line-up of festive pies, including his Turkey, Ham & Stuffing which was described by one customer as being so full of Christmassy goodness they half expected a cracker to fall out!

Other flavours include a Beef Bourguignon, Cheese & Potato and Butter Chicken as well as his award winning Scotch Eggs and Sausage Rolls.

The main focus of The Curious Farmer produce is their regeneratively reared, grass-fed beef which is butchered on their farm before being made into pie fillings and encased in a homemade buttery pastry.

Joel will be serving hot pies on the day, as well as pies which can be frozen and cooked at home as a quick and easy meal option to get you through the Christmas holidays!

Joel will be with us on the Saturday.

Il Carro Della pizza has been cooking wood fired pizzas since 2017, using the highest quality ingredients , sourced locally, where possible, our wood comes from sustainable forestation and our ovens are specifically made for the mobile pizza operation ;we cater for all types of events from weddings, funerals, corporate , school , private family celebrations and can tailor a package to suit most occasions and travel throughout Ulster:we rely on word of mouth to promote our business and are passionate about giving every customer a unique flavour experience.

Fionnuala Cassidy is a best selling author, scriptwriter, creative writing facilitator and poet and through her business The Story Weaver she offers many different writing services.

These include crafting personalised poems as unique occasion or remembrance gifts, speechwriting for busy professionals and milestone gatherings and delivering workshops both therapeutically and recreationally.

Fionnuala will be selling some of her own poetry at our fair and you can speak to her about commissions or find out more about the classes she has coming up locally in 2025!

Our next trader is Hoddmimir's they were with us at our Autumn fair and back again for Christmas.

"We are a husband and wife team that have been working together for a few years.

We started Viking re-enacting to see what it was about, and discovered a love for the style, history and community feel. And as any re-enactor knows, once you start, it snowballs into more and more! We had both woodworked at school and are no strangers to making things, so Hoddmimir's was born. In this, Richard spends a lot of time turning, shaping and working the designs, while Natalie is the pyrographer and artist.

Our children have grown up with a natural interest for Vikings, and often help us out, both at a display or making! They have picked up woodworking from us, and often talk to people about their interest.

We currently operate with a large tent as our store and living area. In addition to this, we have an active display, showcasing various woodworking techniques.

As often as we can we demonstrate our craft in Historical settings and fairs and are available for bookings for schools and other events as well"
