Lavender And Rose We offer quirky wedding props for hire in Scotland and beautiful modern flowers, too. We're Rosie and Jess, twin sisters living in Glasgow.
(4)

In 2017 Jess got married to Gab. While the three of us had a lot of fun planning the big day (granted, Rosie was probably too involved) we felt frustrated at the limitations from most hire companies, not to mention the prices. Taking matters into our own hands we decided to buy most of the wedding props, rather than rent them, and to subsequently offer them to other people who just want an easy wedding-planning-life.

I love making the tiny details that might not always get noticed in the same way a statement arch or floral aisle does, but feel like an extra special element for closest family and friends, marking the occasion with flowers. Kelly chose these pretty, fluffy corsages for her family, and we loved how they turned out with bunny tail grasses and mock orange. As always, hand-written calligraphy tags added a little final flourish of luxury ☁️

Cassidy chose a pure white bouquet that was a chic, neat size and filled with fluffy blooms and seasonal dahlias picked from our very own garden for that extra special finishing touch.

A moment for the boys in bowties, who are just as deserving of gorgeous wedding flowers as the girls. We love Nicole's bridesman who chose a pocket piece rather than a standard buttonhole. We're around on the morning of your wedding to help with the pesky pinning too, just in case you need a helping hand.

If you'd like to discuss your wedding flowers, please send us an email on [email protected]. We still have some 2024 availability and strictly book 12 months ahead for those looking for early 2025 dates.

We love seeing our creations through other people's eyes, and get excited every single time a couple or a photographer sends us their snaps to sift through. It's a real treat when anyone gets a bouquet shot like this, as so often it's missed off the list and after carefully prepping every single stem and picking only the most perfect blooms for the most special of all the day's arrangements, we think it deserves its own wee moment to shine. This soft and blousy late summer bouquet was packed with all the good things for Katlyn, including Scottish foliage, dahlias and sweet peas, as well as some Dutch Quicksand roses to bring in tones of dusky pink. Thank you for such pretty pictures.

We love the The Engine Works and can't wait to be back there next week. It's the most amazing, industrial space that lends itself to all sorts of celebrations. This pretty staircase was dreamt up by our lovely bride Amy, and made a magical secret garden stairway to dinner, softening the concrete and creating the perfect contrast between man-made and mother nature. Manifesting more celebrations like this in 2024 please.

☁Katlyn & Camden☁

A tumble of Scottish beech, fluffy bits and european roses made for the prettiest backdrop to this pair's nuptials. The day was a wet one, we set up in unrelenting drizzle, surrounded by the thick silence of the mossy walled garden at Balnakeilly House. It was a five minute walk down past a stream and a few stray partridge to get to their perfect ceremony spot, which meant an hour of back and fourths to get all my buckets of flowers in the right place, trollying them two at a time. Once everything was gathered together I worked late into the morning in the cool rain putting everything in place. All I could think was at least the flowers will be happy, and I hope it stops raining soon. Well, I eventually dried out, it stopped raining long enough for them to say their 'I do's', and when I went back three days later to collect everything, the roses were still fresh. I think that's what they call a fairytale ending.

☁️ BECKY & LUCY ☁️

A little black and white moment for these gorgeous girls who got married at earlier this year. This pair were so gracious and sweet to us throughout the planning process that we really wanted to do a good job for them. We obviously want everyone to love their flowers, but when people are so clearly kind and caring, you want to make sure everything is extra special for them. They chose the same palette for their bouquets, but went for ever so slightly different shapes and flower varieties. Both were both finished off with soft, silk trailing ribbons.

🕊 CORRINE & DOUGIE 🕊

After numerous covid wedding attempts, this beautiful pair ended up getting married in their very own gorgeous home in Glasgow, surrounded by a special handful of their favourite people and were pretty sure that’s the perfect result. We loved creating this ombré fireplace packed with FairTrade roses sourced from .

We also scattered our storm lanterns around the place to leave a trail of starlight as the evening dipped into darkness.

A bundle of spring abundance. Urns filled with blossom and bouncing butterfly ranunculus for Kyla and Craig who got married in the pale Scottish sunshine last year, and had joy all over their faces the whole day. A gorgeous gal!! 🍂

Today’s bouquet for Caitlin who married Anmar and had the cheeriest, happiest little face when we dropped off her flowers to her - she definitely brought the sunshine despite Scotland’s best attempts at a washout. Congratulations, guys!

We had lots of help on this one from the lovely Rachel ✨

Bouquets for some babes ✨

Classics are classics for a reason aren’t they? Sometimes you can’t best that FRESH green and white feeling.

These bridesmaid bouquets for Morven and Henry were stuffed with sweet peas, roses, orlaya, scabious and mock orange so smelled as good as they looked.

Fairly regularly we get couples enquiring about using seasonal flowers to keep costs down. The reality is, to source British flowers that align with our signature style is both more time consuming and more costly than importing blooms from Holland. We use a mix of both, but to bundle these bouquets together meant ordering from five different suppliers with all the associated admin and delivery cost that involves. We’re truly passionate about using British and think for the most part they look and smell better than alternatives that are shipped in from across the globe, but this is just a friendly reminder that they’re not the budget option. They’re the luxury option 😌😌

KATY & GAVIN 💜

The nice thing about doing weddings is that you’re always working with new ideas and inspiration, because no two couples are the same, and no two couples want the same things. Katy and Gavin brought together Scottish and American families and wanted bold, purple flowers tied up with their families’ tartans. I loved these bouncy, blousy bouquets and Katy’s idea for an extra large wreath covering ’s bookcase for their ceremony.

A joy as always to see and - dream team ☁️ ✨

At the weekend threw their opening party and we sprinkled some dried flower magic on things. As Scotland’s first carbon neutral steak restaurant they wanted the bash to reflect their environmental efforts. This whole design used strictly British flowers from .blooms, and and everything has now been either repurposed, composted or kept. More than ever this year we’re explaining to our couples and clients the importance of using home-grown stems where possible and hope everyone agrees things look no less beautiful because of it 🌾
