The snow did not, in fact, disappear. It became a nor'easter that produced snow followed by a metric s*** ton of rain. The tent, even with sides, was not prepared for that.
Some of the guests couldn't get to the tent because of mobility issues and the mud. And let me tell you how bitterly cold a mud filled tent is with the wind blowing. I still have nightmares about it on occasion.
It was, by far, my messiest wedding ever. So the lesson is to make sure you have A, B, and C plans if you are having an outdoor wedding!

Amy and Maria's Friday, daytime wedding at Patapsco Valley State Park was a delightful way to celebrate their love and nature. Surrounded by family and friends, and their super cute pups Bagel and very a shy Willa, they got married under gently falling leaves and with the occasional acorn jump scares!
They then had a laid back lunch with a pizza truck, homemade cookies and milk and a delicious vegan wedding cake! It was a perfect way to spend a fall day!

When Ben and Eva were planning their outdoor summer camp wedding for October, none of us were even thinking about a hurricane/tropical storm spinning up the coast to be a guest!
While we had to do the ceremony indoors, the weather gods were kind enough to keep the rain and wind to a minimum for the reception. It did make for perfect weather for the mulled cider that was brewing through the night!

After having to reschedule for Covid and then the 17 year cicadas, Coreene and Ben got a beautiful night for their wedding at @tudor_place!
Between Coreenes absolutely gorgeous dress (which had pink, purple and peach tulle), crown and Docs, a whiskey mixing and their delightfully nerdy selves, it was an fantastic evening for all!
And they skipped a reception but shortly after went to the Lincoln Memorial and did a sunrise shoot.
