The last concert of the season was hot and eventful! Red Dirt Rangers were very entertaining, but the nearing storm clouds were showing lightning, so we had to end early. We'll have them back soon! Josh Taylor, a high school senior, performed an inspiring and skilled National Anthem. Oklahoma Central Credit Union again treated young folks to face painting and art opportunities. Arts at 302 sponsored Black Out Poetry. Check with them to find out more about this intriguing youth art form. Thank you to all our food vendors, especially Stu-B-Que, who donated free water so our audience could get some relief from the heat. The BA Civitans, Supermercados Morelos, Kettle Masters Snack Foods, Inc and Sqeezeers were all greatly appreciated by our crowds and by ArtsOK, The Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow for their support.

It'll be a hot night, so be ready! Hot weather and hot music from the Red Dirt Rangers!

Our splendid food trucks will be ready to serve you and cool you down. Thank you Stu-B-Que. or providing free cold water to keep everyone safe. Don't forget the BA Civitans who use their proceeds to help local charities. Kettle Masters Snack Foods, Inc bring the chill as well as popcorn and other snacks. Supermercados Morelos serve a very tasty selection perfect for a hot evening. Sqeezeers provide lemonade.

All of these vendors help support our music in the park, and we appreciate them very much!

It was a warm and windy evening, but those who attended the June 18 concert were treated to a flag presentation by the Civil Air Patrol's Riverside Composite Squadron flag presentation and Billy Moore's heartfelt and powerful rendition of our National Anthem. Then the The Brothers Moore started up a very skilled, entertaining performance. These guys are going places! Blake's AV Solutions spread the music all across the park in spite of the strong south wind that forced us to keep the city stage closed.

Thank you to all our sponsors and prize donors. It's so fun to give away food and other gifts. Oklahoma Central Credit Union again gave away a $50 gift and continued providing the very popular face painting and interactive art projects. Arts at 302 brought Artsy Cartsy for kids of all ages to build their projects.

To find our more about the Civil Air Patrol, the squadron has an open house on July 8 for their summer rocketry program. To learn more please visit rocketry.rvscap.org."

Yes, it will be warm, but this is special! The Brothers Moore from Tulsa, OK. have cultivated a sound that is familiar, yet distinctly unique. In late 2019 the boys were discovered by Shaun Morgan (Seether) and signed with CTK Management (Dolly Parton, Kenny G). They have opened for Dolly Parton, Chris Young and Hanson!

Just before their singing of our National Anthem, there will be a flag presentation by the Civil Air Patrol's Riverside Composite Squadron. Don't miss it!

Our first concert of the season was a huge success! Thank you to all who were there and especially to all our sponsors. Oklahoma Central Credit Union, our premier sponsor, again delighted children with face painting and their collaboration with Arts@302 for other art activities. The interactive "tree" creation brought out the fun creativity that all children have. If you are still a child at heart (or want to be), check out the classes for all ages that Arts@302 offers.

The rain held off until well after the music ended, but the overcast sky kept the comfort level perfect!

04/06/2024

Setup for the Midlife Crisis concert is going great! Rain is supposed to hold off until 10, so on with the show! Cloudy skies are making it really comfortable in the gentle breeze. Come enjoy!

Thank you to all our sponsors. Oklahoma Central Credit Union has done a fabulous job of creating a children's art area with face painting, and various art and bubble opportunities. Plus they have donated excellent prizes each week to our raffle.

McGraw Realtors has also had an on-site table and tent that provided interest to our audience. Other sponsors are Advance Alarms, Tastee Treat and Molded Products...and of course this could not happen without the city of Broken Arrow providing stage and park usage. Special next week, our perennial sponsor, AVB, will have a give-away during the break, and we are always glad to have them join the fun. Our food trucks will be donating from their proceeds and Sign Gypsies added lots of fun and a prize each week.

We could not do this without our sponsors, and Oklahoma Central Credit Union went over the top with adding art activities, face painting and purple frisbees. Thank you OCCU crew! McGraw Realtors had a nice presentation at their tent, and although Advance Alarms could not be there, their support is treasured.
The ArtsOK crew did a great job setting up, announcing, selling raffle tickets and handling the prize drawings. ArtsOK makes so much available in our area for all ages and interests!

What a great start to our concert series. The storms surrounded us, but kept their distance until near the end, so we completed the first half, all the raffles at break and then had another fine set of music from RendevouX! The acrobatics by the kids in front of the stage were bonus! Thank you Dale of Sound 4U for setting up an excellent sound system suited for our park.

Tuesdays in the Park

This event is a long-running success for arts in Broken Arrow. Each Tuesday evening in June a musical performance is presented on an outdoor stage in Central Park. The grassy slope of the park provides an excellent amphitheater for the crowds relaxing and listening...and often dancing. Tuesdays in the Park is free to attend and appropriate for families. Bands begin to play at 7 pm and continue until 8:45 with one break for activities and drawings.
