I am taking an indefinite break this 2024. Let me tell you why.

2023 has been lacklustre due to pressures in all aspects of my life: family, career and sustaining a side hustle.

I came to a realisation that I could not have it all. That something's gonna give in. While I give my 100% in my cakes, I sacrifice my time away from family and miss my opportunities in going further with my IT career. My health also is affected trying to juggle all of them.

So, for 2024, I will be taking an indefinite break from cakes to put priority in my family and career. Hopefully, this breather will help me find perspective in my cake journey whether should I retire or keep going to pursue artistic endeavours.

I will still keep posting my old cake videos from 2023 and develop my socmed presence, mostly into sharing cake tips and developing recipes. I will be referring y'all to my fabulous cake friends who would be stoked to take your business.

Mandalorian cake for Rhys who is turning 6

Baking while still in recovery because I can't miss having a cake to greet the New Year. Hands are still shaky as I am not still in my full strength yet. Being back in the hospital for the second time this year made me realise that nothing is more important than taking care of your own health. The lack of sleep, nutrition, and rest can take a toll on your body. So, starting next year, I will be slowing down on cake orders to limited slots each month while I work on my physical and mental health. If you wish to have me to make your cakes, please book me ahead of time to avoid disappointment preferably 2-3 months ahead. Wishing you a healthy, wealthy and prosperous 2023 to you and your family!!!
