And just like that…. The festival season has come to an end as the last of my face paint is washed away.

It has been a whirlwind of a season, I was fortunate enough to paint at some new venues, to meet so many interesting people, and painted so many lovely faces. I enjoyed each and every bit of art I had the honor of creating for other people, and delivering smile upon smile time and again.

After over two months of nonstop work, I am looking forward to having next weekend off. It is time to pack away the flower hair clips, restock the kit, replace the ratty paint brushes, and clean the glitter off of…. Well…. everything. From everywhere.

Just a reminder as we embark upon the holiday season that I am available all winter long for corporate events, holiday parties, birthday parties, and so on.

Today’s look while I paint at a private block party and then I am heading to the Banditos in Columbia to paint sugar skulls (free to the public) from 6-9 pm for Dia de los Mu***os.

This weekend and next weekend are the busiest weekends for face painters as they are bookends for Halloween. All the fall festivities everywhere……

I just got home from a whirlwind day of painting nonstop - and I literally mean nonstop - for the past 5 1/2 hours. Feet are up, heating pad activated and I am basking in the glow in knowing I helped to create so many smiles!

Some parents were gracious enough to send me some photos from yesterday and today. So here’s my weekend photo dump……

Good morning, my lovelies! This weekend is Homecoming weekend for many schools in our area. It is also the biggest weekend for fall festivals and Halloween events. Whatever your plans are, be prepared for crowds and go with understanding, patience, and grace. All these vendors and events are doing the best they can to give you a wonderful experience.

I will be at the UMBC campus once again this year to offer free face painting (paid for by the University) from 12-5 at their carnival.

This is a huge event with lots of traffic and parking challenges. The face paint line is also typically about a 30+ minute wait.

Once you are there….. they have lots of fun things like rides, petting zoo, cotton candy, characture artists, balloon artists and of course a face painter!

I will try to post a video of the set up before it opens.

As always, models wanted! If I paint you and you have some photos you are willing to let me use for my portfolio and social pages, please share them!

I will be face painting at two events this weekend.

On Friday I will be partnering with Pin It Up Acupuncture and painting in their store from 5-7 pm for the Adult Halloween Hocus Pocus event - books, tasty libations, and shopping on Main Street. All while supporting local small artisan businesses. What’s not to love?

And then on Saturday morning I head up to UMBC’s campus for their Homecoming Carnival - this is a free to the public event for all ages. The university is covering my fee, free to public, so I expect some long lines (speed painting designs only). This carnival is a lot of fun. They have rides, cotton candy, caricature artist, and a delightful petting zoo with some really cute animals.

I would love to see some familiar faces. Stop on by either event and I’d be happy to paint you up!!

Ask any face painter and they will all tell you they struggle to build out a portfolio of on-the-job photos. Our hands are busy painting, not taking pictures.

So we are super grateful when families are able to send some to us. This little one was such a joy to paint. Not to mention this mirror moment photo? ((Chef’s kiss))

Excited to be unveiling some new super fast fall themed face paint designs (alongside some of the more popular traditional offerings) tomorrow at the Sykesville Fall Festival where I will be painting free to the public, made possible via sponsorship by the Downtown Sykesville Connection

Can’t make it out tomorrow? no worries, we have you covered! I will be back on Main Street again this Sunday for my final appearance at the Downtown Sykesville Farmers Market for the season - with over 40 design menu options to choose from!!!!

This coming weekend I am pulling a double header in Sykesville on Main Street - starting on Saturday for the Sykesville Fall Festival. I will be located directly along Main Street offering quick speed painting designs at no charge (the event is paying me). Then on Sunday I am back at it for the Downtown Sykesville Farmers Market. It will be my last time at the market until next year. I will be offering some new fall and Halloween themed designs. If you are looking for things to do, come on out and as always, look for the purple and white pin striped tent with the maximalist decor.
