Bryan Gee
Our dear friend, Bryan Gee, is recognized around the world as the label boss of legendary drum & bass imprint V Recordings and the international DJ with the trademark wide grin who has a genuine love for his job.
Bryan caught the DJ bug at an early age, growing up in Cheltenham as part of a tight Jamaican community immersed in sound system culture. Reggae was his first love and by his early teenage years he'd begun to get involved with local sound system Challenger and his natural knack for the music led to him being asked to act as the system's selector.
By the early '80s Bryan's love for music had led him to Brixton, London but after some initial difficulty Bryan found himself on the wrong side of the law, spending two years in jail. During that time however he became close friends with another DJ who was interested in jazz-funk and popular music and Bryan's love for different types of music began to grow.
After leaving prison Bryan decided it was time to start up his own sound system again. He called the sound system Kleer FM and he thrust himself right in the mix as he started to play wherever he could get a gig. Soon he found himself DJing at parties all around the area and on pirate radio too.
It was while DJing at a regular local pub gig that Bryan met Jumping Jack Frost and they forged a partnership that led to them DJing together on pirate station Quest FM before moving onto their own Brixton based station, Passion.
Playing together they made a huge name for themselves around the area and after a chance encounter with a new form of dance music house at a party near London Bridge, Bryan and Frost began to introduce acid house to their radio shows and DJ sets.
Thanks to his knowledge of the scene Bryan landed himself a job at Rhythm King offshoot Outer Rhythm, and soon he was helping to kick start the careers of artists like Leftfield and Moby.
After leaving his job Bryan decided it was time to follow hi

@djjjfrost JUMPIN JACK FROST
A dear friend and brother of BP², Drum & bass music wouldn't be what it is without Jumpin Jack Frost.
Brixton born and bred, his childhood was soundtracked by the soul, funk, reggae, and foundation hip-hop that would, a couple of decades later, become the building blocks of jungle music. This was the seventies and eighties, the era that saw the rise of the sound system in the UK, and the young Frost paid his dues as a box boy for the local Frontline sound, eventually graduating to mic man.
But, as history shows, his true calling lay behind the decks. In his autobiography, "Big Bad and Heavy", he recalls working briefly in removals and, for no apparent reason, being given three thousand unwanted records. This proved to be a moment that would shape his career. Highly knowledgeable and passionate about the music, in 1987, Jumpin Jack Frost the deejay came into existence.
Of course, it wouldn't be long before a whole new music scene would arise. Rave culture was born, and Frost was right there from the beginning.
Moving away from the reggae and funk he was then known for playing, he became immersed in the nascent acid house scene. Alongside the likes of Fabio, Grooverider, and Bryan Gee, he was a founding resident of the now-legendary Carwash raves. And, as the music and culture exploded across the UK, he quickly became an in-demand headliner. Joining the influential Dynamix agency was the next step up, turning him into an international touring deejay for the first time.
Then, in 1993, as jungle music was taking over, Frost secured his place in the history of UK music forever. First, he teamed up with fellow Carwash alumnus Bryan Gee to form the seminal label V Recordings. Then, under the name Leviticus, he produced one of the biggest jungle anthems that's ever been, "Burial". Nominated for a MOBO award, and having sold over a hundred thousand c

Hailing from Brooklyn, T.R.A.C.'s early exposure to diverse musical influences laid the foundation for his dynamic approach to music, motivated early on by the greats of the golden era of hip hop. T.R.A.C.’s discography is a testament to his evolution as an artist. It was a chance meeting with fellow genre-crossing artist DJ I-CUE which led to T.R.A.C. being featured on his first DnB tune, “Next Level $hit,” which was released in 2000. His first solo hip hop album, “The Network,” was released by Reinforced Records and 4hero pioneer Marc Mac in 2011, and the jungle influences were unmistakable. With multiple collaborations with UK hip hop institution Lewis Parker under his belt, it was clear that T.R.A.C.’s focus had sharpened. “Life in Motion” was released on the mighty V Recordings in 2017. With productions and collaborations with heavy hitters such as Lenzman, Bladerunner, Calibre, Conrad, and others, the album was a nonstop soul-infused ride through T.R.A.C.'s unique and unmatched blends of hip hop, soul, and Drum and Bass.
