If you're coming into Waco this weekend for Brazos Nights and the Waco Suspension Bridge reopening celebration, a rundown of FAQs are available at brazosnightswaco.com.
Both events are free admission. Brazos Nights will feature Friday evening performances from Asleep at the Wheel, Jackie Venson and Mariachi Azteca Waco, along with a great lineup of local food trucks. Chairs, blankets and coolers are allowed. The event will open at 6 p.m., with music from 7-11 p.m. A drone display over the river will take place at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities will begin with an 11 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by a longhorn cattle drive over the bridge and food/activities. Limited seating will be available near the ceremony stage, or you can bring your own.
There is plenty of free parking downtown within a short walk to Indian Spring Park and the bridge. Check out the Waco Convention & Visitors Bureau's handy parking map at: wacoheartoftexas.com/getting-to-waco/.
