A week today these two tied the knot at the lovely enterkine house hotel! Absolutely love shooting here. Grounds are amazing and staff are fantastic. We had a surprise visit from Oscar in the evening which completely threw andy, wasn’t expecting it at all. Our plan to surprise worked! Proper good laugh the whole day, superb!

Last week I returned to glenbervie for the first time in a very long time. Since before lockdown I’m sure! Crazy how the place has changed.

Perfect day with plenty sunshine, axe throwing and loadsa banter. Confetti was the wildest I have ever shot in 10 years of doing weddings. The disappeared for a good 5 seconds. Which seemed like a life time to be honest, remember looking above the camera thinking “oh s**t- too much confetti” 😂😂

Good luck to this young man this weekend! Years of competing at his absolute best has finally landed him the chance to run for Scotland in Germany this weekend! What an opportunity this and thoroughly deserved. Absolutely buzzing for you.

Congratulations to Louise & Kev!

Beautiful intimate ceremony with close family and friends at the Cromlix.

And that’s a wrap for 2023. Incredible year. I’ll do a proper round up in the next week or so, two galleries to edit and it’s officially onto 2024. Crazy it’s done, has to be one of the fastest years yet. Need to show more of 2023 though, so many amazing weddings that’s you’ve only seen a glimpse of.

Massive congratulations to this gorgeous pair! I had a proper good time on Saturday covering this wedding. We were treated to a very crisp sunny winter wedding with an absolutely beautiful sunset just at the front of the venue!

I honestly love getting out and photographing couples on their wedding day.

Whether its raining, windy, sunny, snowing or whatever Scottish weather chucks our way, I love being in about about it & having a great time creating something.

You really get to know the people in front of you.

Every couple is different, so although I a have set style on how I shoot, I tailer my approach to who the couple are in front of me. Everyone has the same starting point though… they don’t like getting their photos taken. Which is absolutely fine, I am the exact same.

Thats where my approach to working with couples kicks in. It's about getting everyone chatting. Which spirals to weird and wonderful conversations.

Most people go in prepared to hate the photo experience and come out having actually enjoyed it.

It’s the best feeling, being able to supply images like these to couples.

So, here are 10 portraits from 10 weddings where the people in them, don’t like getting their photos taken.

Married on Sunday at the Torrance Hotel in East Kilbride. We used bubbles instead of confetti and it worked absolutely amazing. Tasted awful though. Fantastic day though, working round a mixed bag of weather, but in the end it all panned out perfectly and let’s us wander the streets for some photos ❤️

Saturday. Saturday was the day these two tied the knot. As everyone knows, it was chaotic across Scotland, floods everywhere and absolutely treacherous conditions.

It was one of those days where all plans were scrapped and it was a case of “winging it”. Through out the morning, many people asked “what’s the plans”.. I’ll be honest I had zero answers. Take the day as it comes.. and have a great time in the process.

Think we absolutely a achieved that. It was an absolute incredible day. I honestly had the best time photographing becca and Chris and their families. Just kicking about, chatting to everyone and photographing everyone having an fantastic time.

CANDIDS - I always make sure there is plenty of time for this on your wedding day. Essentially creating a good balance so you can enjoy the most part of your wedding day with your guests. - I absolutely love walking about chatting to your guests having banter with them through the day. So many people, ask me during whilst im taking candids "you not taking the bride and groom away for photos" My reply is always the same.. There is plenty time for that. This part is so important. You're getting to enjoy your guests company, the canopy's you've paid for, the Prosecco and beer you've paid for and any day time music too. it's integral to enjoy this time. Because these a the parts that absolutely fly by.

Married on wednesday, at the beautiful Dalduff barn. I absolutely love shooting weddings here, always an amazing vibe and Wednesday was no different. Congratulations to Emma & Kenny!

Married on saturday in Stirling. I had the best time photographing these two and their families. Confetti line was mental though, felt like it went on for miles haha! We took a drive up the hill a bit to make use of the views and be in about the woods. Wasn't sure how taking a Rolls Royce Phantom up these narrow roads would pan out but it worked out just fine!
