Here's a bit of a different view of my favours ... the backs !!
One of the most important things with my favours is the clear and careful ingredient labelling incorporated into each design. This also includes a best before date.
I take this part extremely seriously, and all of my favours carry an individual sticker with all the necessary details on it.
I have noticed that this is often overlooked by people selling 'too cheap, to be true' favours. As is a level 2 food hygiene certificate, allergen training, and registration with the local authorities EHO and Trading Standards Teams.
The EHO is responsible for checking and issuing you with a food hygiene rating certificate. Whilst Trading Standards check and advise on the labelling of products.
So when you buy from me you can be reassured of the following:
β¨οΈ 5 Star EHO Food Hygiene Certification
β¨οΈ Allergen Trained
β¨οΈ Trading Standards approved labelling
β¨οΈ Fully insured
β¨οΈ Top quality brands of confectionery
β¨οΈ Fully licenced digital artwork
β¨οΈ Personalised designs, digitally created by me
β¨οΈ Lots of love and care
So whilst my prices are not 'too cheap, to be true', I am extremely good value for money and reassuringly careful. For me, that is priceless.
Apologies that it's been so long since I last posted on Facebook. I am still here and I have still been posting on Instagram.
I've sort of fallen out of love with Social Media lately. It seems such a lot of input for very little interaction from followers or attraction of new followers. It also takes up so much valuable time which could be used creating/crafting. Rules in some of the groups have become so restrictive for sellers it feels like there's just no way to get your lovely makes seen.
I'm having a bit of an advertising quandary. Do I just give up ? Do I post more ? Can you post too much ? Do I join Etsy or Folksy etc and have substantially increased overheads ? Do I invest in my own website ? So many dilemmas π€¦ββοΈ
What's the best way to get seen ?

Well I feel somewhat sad writing this post π
After taking most of last year out to recover from my op, fast forward to 2024 and I've just got a huge shock ! The little chocolate hearts that I use to make the majority of my favours have gone up by 150% and the high quality cardstock I use by 65% since the start of of 2023! π± That doesn't account for the increases in insurance, regular food safety certification, electricity, printer ink, postage, packaging, graphics licences, software upgrades etc.
All of this will mean a substancial increase in prices for me to make the tiniest profit and this year I'm actually going to be making orders placed over a year ago at a loss.
Moving forward this means ...
β I will no longer be taking bookings more than 6 months before an event.
β My quotes will only be valid for 30 days and confirming a booking will require a 50% non refundable deposit.
β The new prices given in my quotes reflect the best price that I can make items for. Please don't ask for discounts.
The items that I make are of a very high standard and all of my digital artwork is bespokely put together by myself. This takes a great deal of time and skills crafted over many years to ensure that your items are a good match to the rest of your theme/decor.
I do hope this post has made the reasons for increasing my prices and changing my quoting/ordering process clear.
Hopefully I haven't offended anyone π€¦ββοΈ
I'm just a message away and I'm always happy to answer any questions.

Gorgeous Gourds ... Autumn has really arrived ππ
Here's another set of my handmade pumpkins.
These are knitted without a pattern so they are completely organic. Made in a lovely bright orange wool each one is slightly different in shape and size.
The larger pumpkin is finished with a pretty white flower.
Great as decor items or for gorgeous table centrepieces for rustic, autumn and fairytale weddings.
