Jada found this cool calendar today at .market and wanted to share it with you! A History of Racial Injustice 2025 Calendar by Equal Justice Initiative. It's oversize, full color, and has history on EVERY day. It's only $6 and benefits this non-profit that provides assistance to the poor, the incarcerated, the condemned, communities that have been marginalized by bias, discrimination, or poverty, and children prosecuted as adults in the criminal legal system. They work with organizations, community groups, and religious institutions to confront the legacy of racial injustice and produce educational materials on racial history. Greetings friends and followers: I wanted to post a message that I am still around. I enjoy slowing down and hibernating in the Winter until March. Been reading, enjoying my new Barbie diorama hobby, etc. I am still here, though, if anyone wants to schedule any classes, painting parties, or gatherings that I can provide some art or craft enrichment to in March+. I will be available for outdoor Reiki sessions when it warms up and am still available as a source of support for Reiki practitioners of different levels or those who may want to get attuned to a higher level. (I can recommend local practitioners who have indoor places now, if you need; message me; don't wait for help). I am almost halfway done with my year-long herbalist certificate training courses. I will keep you posted here on anything I may schedule or any places I will be popping up for events. :) I think of many of you often and send you warm thoughts. Enjoy the rest of your Winter break!

Writing in The Washington Post in 1983, Coretta Scott King provided a vision of how the holiday honoring her husband should be observed:

"The holiday must be substantive as well as symbolic. It must be more than a day of celebration . . . Let this holiday be a day of reflection, a day of teaching nonviolent philosophy and strategy, a day of getting involved in nonviolent action for social and economic progress."

Grandma Nana (the matriarch of the family) and her sister Aunt Mae live together now that their spouses have passed (aka I don't want to buy the grandpa dolls lol). They are working on an apron and stuffing a teddy bear during the snow storm while they enjoy tea.

Thank you to everyone who engaged with me about art in 2024. Next year will be devoted less to creating art for sale and more to my own creative pursuits, though I'm still open for commissions and teaching art classes. I'm hoping to connect with people more in person. I think in person connection is lacking in this digitally focused world and I miss the friendships it brings. So, if you want to do anything artistic in person, invite me. 🤗

1. Artist Colony of Zanesville featured artist of the month for May. I created an entire new collection of art.
2. My first time entering this National show and a piece of my photography was chosen for inclusion and sold!
3. Southeastern Ohio Watermedia Society show at A juried show and this piece was chosen for inclusion. The show is coming down soon, so visit asap. This piece is sold.
4. featured artist of the month for November and article in the Beacon. I am gallery sitting tomorrow at The Tollhouse in Roseville Village so come visit.
5. A throwback to a giant acrylic on canvas painting of an Australian sunset for a customer that I shipped via freight semi to his vacation home in Florida.
6. A photo piece from my show in May that caused some discussion. I enjoy being conceptual with photography.
7. A commissioned acrylic paint pour on canvas for a customer's hallway.
8. Space Jellies, acrylic on canvas, from my May show. This piece is sold.
9. A commission that a customer gave to Tapas Caribbean Grill as a gift.
