Shylo: DJ & Events

Starting out on vinyl at a little club in Long Street called 96 Degrees in the year 2000, DJ Shylo’s popularity quickly grew as being one of the first female DJ’s to perform regularly in the Mother City. Other bookings included Numbers in East London and H20. The move to London in the year 2003 gave her the opportunity to showcase her talents on an international platform. Residencies for Hot & Spicy, Dirty Dubbin, Get Diverted and Plush DaFunk at Pacha London did just that. A trip to the party island of Ibiza in 2006 gave her the opportunity to play alongside the cream of the worlds DJ crop at Es Paradis and Space’s upstairs floor.

Upon her return from the UK, she became a resident for the infamous Hauswork, a production with an all female line up playing to packed-out dance floors at the legendary Chukka Churri. She also held residencies at The Grand, Honey Cream, Mondiall, Harald’s Bar & Terrace and Radisson Red Rooftop Bar.

Its all about the journey! A lover of all things house, Shylo easily meanders through different styles providing you with an experience that leaves a lasting impression. Loving a variety of genres, her sets journeys through Electronica, New Disco, Soulful, Deep, Vocal, Tech and Melodic House. Good music is timeless, so expect classic tracks in the mix as well, together with the latest releases to keep things fresh.

Shylo’s passion for what she does, shines through in her professionalism and style behind the DJ booth. She easily reads the crowd to build a set to suit the occasion. Her versatility makes her an asset to any event.
