Update from Bonnie:
We’ve come a long way since this day. It’s hard to believe we will celebrate 3 years from transplant on October 20th. In this picture, Brett was being discharged from UNC and these sweet nurses celebrated the half marathon that he walked during his time in the transplant unit.
It’s time for us to put our walking shoes back on, but this time we won’t be lugging an IV pole around with us. We will Light the Night for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as we pray for those facing a blood cancer. Brett and I will be walking next Saturday night October 21st. Brett and I will forever be thankful for research done for Leukemia. We know for a fact that Brett benefited from research. We will forever be grateful for the wisdom of doctors, the specialized care of nurses, and research that helped Brett’s body heal. Thank you Lord!
