Here you will find out about all the different locations that people can come together and jam (acoustic). Different venues have different types of music--most are open to all styles (i.e. gospel, old-time,, bluegrass, classical, classic rock, storytelling, singing, etc.).
This page is for acoustic jam sessions only--no individual performances. To insure that, all posts are moderated before being shown publicly.

With the growth in the past few years of the number of ukulele players, a gentle reminder to you: At a song circle, be prepared to play the simple guitars chords, be prepared to sing less, and enjoy the lead solos.
+++++
Ideally, song circles work so that each person takes a turn in playing the next song will be. He/she says what the key is and what the chords are. Others then follow along. When it's someone's turn to lead the song, you should be able to hear them play and sing; if not, you're playing/singing too loudly. ;-)
These are learning and sharing activities--not performing events.
We try to make EVERYONE feel welcome no matter the style or level of music.
New musicians will find a home to learn and develop their skills. People visiting the establishment will be invited to join in at their level of interest. Children especially will always be invited to take part in the music in some way.
