Sheffield Live Music was a website listing Live music events in Sheffield at local venues!

Sheffield Live Music was born out of the frustration of not being able to find free live music in Sheffield. Even now it is difficult with so many websites only promoting paying gigs - which is fine, but there are so many events missing out. I started with a page and tried to make this a success, bands and venues just needed to add their events to Facebook, tag them properly, tick 'free a

dmission' and also add as a co-host. That way their events would automatically show up on the website once approved. In the end - it became too difficult for one person to manage and has been mothballed like all Sheffield live music sites.

Tomorrow sees the return of our wonderful Thursday Live Sessions with the extraordinarily talented providing tunes from 7:30pm outside in our courtyard 🎹✨Friday & Saturday, we have a guest food vendor taking over Hagglers serving wonderful Iraqi food! ✨Friday night, we also have the incredible Hot Wax DJ collective playing some sick funk and soul from 8pm-2am ✨Saturday night, we have the amazing (one of our absolute faves) playing some fantastic groovy tunes from 8pm-2am ✨ Sunday, we have a lovely summer wind down chilled day with wonderful Vietnamese food from who also have a little competition for you all! 🍜🤤 ✨

With less than two weeks to go until this year’s One World Festival, it’s now time to announce the bands, singers and musicians who will be performing. The second act to be performing on the main stage will be singer-songwriters, Cobalt Tales, who are a female duo based in Sheffield. Originally from Wigan and Stockport, Pat sings powerful vocals, plays acoustic guitar and harmonica on occasion, whilst Nuala plays bass guitar, sings harmony and adds clarinet, whistles and acoustic guitar. Their combined influences and writing talents cover a wide variety of song styles. They deliver music from the heart that stirs the soul. Just found another cracking video from Julian Jones’ outdoor session. With headphones on, I am amazed at the sound in this small outdoor space. Definitely the place to do it again once the weather is more predictable.
