Today I am filled with mixed emotions. It is a bitter sweet moment and one I certainly didn’t expect to find myself in.
After 4 years of running my own company, providing videography and content production to clients up and down the country, from weddings to live streaming, from individuals to some big companies, I have decided to step away from the world of media and pursue my childhood dream of becoming a professional pilot.
After my first trial lesson over a year ago I caught the bug and have since realised that flying is the one thing that never fails to excite and challenge me whilst also being incredibly rewarding.
So today I go back to school, to learn and study the world of commercial aviation in the hope that, in the not too distant future, I will be make a living for what I think is the best hobby in the world.
The last 4 years have been challenging. Covid certainly didn’t help much, but the lessons I’ve learnt and the people I’ve met along the way have made the journey a memorable one. While I’m sad to be saying goodbye to everything I’ve worked for, I am both excited and nervous for what the future now holds.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me and continues to support me, but most importantly my parents and Emily for pushing my to follow my dreams.
Sadly Digital Hippo now takes a back seat but the Flying Hippo proudly takes its place.
