Last week we had the honor of helping celebrate Justin & Hannah! It was a blast for us as this was our very first wedding doing photos and video! They were just the best couple to work with as we ventured into the photo world.

Not sure if we'll continue to do photos as we love working with the many talented photographers that we're friends with, but it definitely was an experience that we enjoyed!

Thanks to Justin & Hannah for trusting us and best wishes on the married life!

What a weekend out in West Texas!

First was a wedding in Lubbock and got to see a bunch of old friends.

Then Sunday we filmed a Love Story in Seminole for one of our couples for their wedding in November. They're ranchers so you know we had to get some wildlife shots! Here are a few screen grabs from the footage.

Had some fun last week shooting some photos! Made Mrs C's dream come true doing a photoshoot with a horse.

Would you believe it that it was her first time riding a horse?! Now that's some dedication to getting the shot!

Woo! It was such a blast filming this wedding for Erin and Al!

A sneak peak from a wedding a few weeks ago at the newly opened venue, Madewell Estates in Lubbock, TX.

Everybody loves a little drone footage every now and then! HOWEVER, drone footage can never be guaranteed. A few factors go into being able to fly a drone. 1. Weather - as long as there's good weather l, flying should be easy! Fast winds, rain, lightning, (this is Texas, so I'm not gonna say snow 😂) can all affect flying. 2. No fly zones - depending on the venue location, it may not even be possible to fly. If the venue is close to an airport, then that will factor into safely flying, not just for the drone pilot but also for the REAL pilot and their passengers/cargo. 3. Venue Restrictions - sometimes venues don't allow drones and we have to respect their rules. There's so much work that goes into wedding filmmaking that helps create the vibe of your final wedding video. It starts with shooting and knowing how to use light to shape shadows, getting the right exposure, and good composition. When and when not to use a gimbal is important too. Not to mention using professional mic audio for vows and using external lights for reception events. During the editing process is where the vibe/feel is created. The pace of the edit, choosing the right songs (which can be the hardest part!), choosing the right clips, color grading, using sound effects and/or natural sounds, audio mastering, and of course building it into one cohesive story that fits you and your partner and staying true to how you remember your special day. . . . .
