Anyone else love a good list??📋 Wedding season is approaching quickly, and I am busy making sure I have all my supplies ready. Wholesale flower orders are going in, and final floral reviews have started! I'm excited and ready for this upcoming season. If you are one of my 2024 brides, I'm busy prepping for you, and I can't wait!

This was such a fun wedding to be a part of! Stephanie was such a delight to work with and so kind. This day started off nice and sunny and then later snowed at least 2 feet. Spring in South Dakota anyone? They did get the most adorable snow photos. Congratulations Stephanie and Ethan! I so enjoyed being a part of your day!

1. The first step is to fill out my form on my contact page: www.becoming blooms/contact. Not quite there yet? You can also see my work on the website and learn a bit about me and my process to help decide if we would be a good fit.
2. Then I like to meet in person or online to discuss all of your wedding flower details. If you aren't an expert on flower names or are not quite sure what you're looking for yet, that ok! I can help with flowers and send you ideas for different arrangements. I enjoy being creative and working with brides to come up with fun designs.
3. Then I send you a floral proposal. This will contain photos of the flowers I plan to use, descriptions of the arrangements we talked about, and prices. I find it really helpful to have all of the things in one document for us to look at.
4. Next, I send over my contract to sign and invoice for my deposit. These last two steps officially book your date with me!
5. I am always so honored when a couple trusts me with their wedding flowers. Once this process is complete, you get to relax knowing that I will arrive on your wedding day with all of your fresh flower arrangements ready to go. I can't wait!

Hey! It's been a bit since I posted a photo of myself......oh wait, I have never actually posted a photo of myself(other than in the car behind sunglasses). 😅
Kelsey at was kind enough to take some brand photos of me in my studio, and I am so thankful she did!
So here I am. Yes, I am a real person (who loves fresh flowers). I work out of my home studio in my garage here in Spearfish, and it's the perfect setup for me. I currently specialize in wedding flowers and will be entering into my 7th year of business (maybe my 6th because I'm not sure that first year really counted??🙃).
I enjoy coffee, chickens, and cats. I have a wonderful family who are so supportive of me and my business goals.
It makes me happy when my space is filled with fresh flowers, and I can't wait for this upcoming wedding season!

I love this review from Jenna's wedding. First of all, she was the sweetest bride to work with and made my job so easy and fun.
This is what I'm striving for when you book with me. To not only provide you with amazing floral designs but also to have clear communication so you can relax in the days leading up to your wedding.
I am getting very excited for this upcoming season and I can't wait to get some flowers back in my studio!

1. I prefer to deliver. I like to make sure all the flowers have arrived safely. I can prepare and package all the delicate flowers for a safe delivery and make sure they arrive in plenty of time. I also have some anxiety about someone leaving all the flowers in the car on a hot day while they run an errand on the way to the venue. 🫠
2. I like to deliver early. If anything goes wrong, I like to have plenty of time to be there to fix it. I plan my delivery time on the photographer's timeline and then plan to be there at least an hour before the photographer is scheduled to arrive.
3. I provide extra stems for your photographer to get some great detail shots. I also deliver all the bouquets in simple vases that are yours to keep (and use elsewhere if you would like to).
4. Weather.🌦 I am prepared for almost any type of weather. Anything above freezing is great for flowers in the cooler months. 100-degree day? I wait until it's closer to your ceremony time to set up any outside arrangements and then hydrate the heck out of those flowers. 🌸☀️🌸
5. I am there so that your day is as stress- free as possible. I am there to deliver beautiful bouquets but also to sweat outside when putting up the arbor flowers. I will be outside in the pouring rain, placing your ground arrangements. I come prepared and I really love what I do.

Anenomies add such a delicate contrast to a classic white and green bouquet. I work to place them in a way so your eye travels throughout the bouquet. They can be a bit finicky to work with (if you even look in their direction, the petals can bruise), but I think they are worth the fuss. 😊
When we sit down for our initial meeting, we will discuss different flower varieties and what works best for your color palette. If you don't know the names of every flower you see, please do not stress about that. Often, when a bride doesn't have specific flowers in mind, it gives me the creative freedom to choose flowers that will create the most impact.

Pocket square boutonnieres are on trend for this upcoming wedding season. I am getting more and more requests for them. They are easy to slide into the jacket pocket, and you don't have to worry about any pins. Plus, they just look so good.
If you are interested in booking with me and are interested in these, or have already booked with me and want to switch up your regular boutonnieres, just let me know. I really enjoy making these.

Shades of purple and blue in the rain. It rained all day for this June wedding except for a small break when the ceremony took place. Wondering if I will hang your arbor flowers in the pouring rain? Yes, I will gladly do so! I was soaked, and the flowers loved it. Looking forward to some raining day weddings again in 2024.
