I am so thankful for the opportunities to continue in the wedding flower business this season. There are always several moments throughout every wedding season when I pause and think, "This really is my life!" Being a wedding florist is a lot of work, but I am so very thankful for the opportunities to be doing something I love while helping to provide for my family.

I am SO excited to share these photos taken by the amazing !! I have been dreaming about this for a while, and I'm so glad it was able to happen. The flower arrangements are created with all LOCALLY GROWN flowers from . My florist friends, if you are looking for a place to get fresh, locally grown flowers, you need to get in contact with Jeremy!

Anyone else love a good list??📋 Wedding season is approaching quickly, and I am busy making sure I have all my supplies ready. This was such a fun wedding to be a part of! Stephanie was such a delight to work with and so kind. This day started off nice and sunny and then later snowed at least 2 feet. 1. The first step is to fill out my form on my contact page: www.becoming blooms/contact. Not quite there yet? You can also see my work on the website and learn a bit about me and my process to help decide if we would be a good fit.
2. Then I like to meet in person or online to discuss all of your wedding flower details. If you aren't an expert on flower names or are not quite sure what you're looking for yet, that ok! I can help with flowers and send you ideas for different arrangements. I enjoy being creative and working with brides to come up with fun designs.
3. Then I send you a floral proposal. This will contain photos of the flowers I plan to use, descriptions of the arrangements we talked about, and prices. I find it really helpful to have all of the things in one document for us to look at.
4. Next, I send over my contract to sign and invoice for my deposit. These last two steps officially book your date with me!
5. I am always so honored when a couple trusts me with their wedding flowers. Once this process is complete, you get to relax knowing that I will arrive on your wedding day with all of your fresh flower arrangements ready to go. I can't wait!

Hey! It's been a bit since I posted a photo of myself......oh wait, I have never actually posted a photo of myself(other than in the car behind sunglasses). 😅
Kelsey at was kind enough to take some brand photos of me in my studio, and I am so thankful she did!
So here I am. Yes, I am a real person (who loves fresh flowers). I work out of my home studio in my garage here in Spearfish, and it's the perfect setup for me. I currently specialize in wedding flowers and will be entering into my 7th year of business (maybe my 6th because I'm not sure that first year really counted??🙃).
I enjoy coffee, chickens, and cats. I have a wonderful family who are so supportive of me and my business goals.
It makes me happy when my space is filled with fresh flowers, and I can't wait for this upcoming wedding season!

Happy New Year! I had an exciting night of going to bed by 8:30! I do like to take time to reflect on my year and prepare myself for the next year. I think it's a good thing to reflect on your life at some point and while I don't always do it on New Year's Eve, I try to refocus sometime around that time of the year. My number one prayer this year? That I would find my joy in God and not cling so hard to my comfort. Do you take time to reflect during this time? What are your goals for the next year?
