✂️ One of Sam’s team has been cutting my mop of hair for the last three or so years, I love Blonde on Welsh Row and it’s been lovely to be asked back time and time again for events, team members’ birthdays plus family occasions.

🕯 While we are sat by candlelight outside in the dusk I thought I would share some of today’s balloons.

💍 Danielle and Doug’s wedding celebrations at the lovely Larkspur Lodge, Knutsford. This was the only helium filled balloon this weekend! Plus 6 giant air filled white balloons on stands as the couple walked down the aisle with a lavender tail.

🌞 Changes are afoot! Read on for all the news….

A couple of weeks ago I was chatting with my doctor about my diabetes and health in general.

I came home and thought maybe cutting the stresses and worries of being self employed would be a good start. I opened up .uk and the perfect job for me, my skill set and experience was right at the top. I applied, I interviewed and last night I was told I was successful and will soon be joining the team at The White Lion, Hankelow.

Many people do balloons as a side hustle, for now my existing bookings remain a top priority, please don’t panic if you’re booked with me. Long term I’m going to see how things pan out, I love the creativity and fun of decorating with balloons, maybe my new employer will find the place decorated nose to tail!

I still have some capacity for balloon garlands, sequin wall and light up number setups on evenings or Saturdays but smaller setups like balloon stacks, helium numbers, bubbles etc I’m not going to take on. I’ve been referring people to Sequins and Silk and Horizon Event Hire for enquiries I couldn’t do for a while and I’m happy to continue to do that plus locally there’s also Ballucci Cheshire and Dream Big Teepees doing great work.

As always my enquiry form is open, fill it in and book a chat if you’d like to discuss your occasion and if you’re passing the White Lion stop by and say “Hi”….

A few very busy weekends lie ahead, time to get inflating!

A personalised Orbz balloon for Wilde Spanish on their second birthday.

2 years ago today I took the plunge, quit my full-time job and made my dream into a reality!

Setting up a business during lockdown and a global pandemic was daunting but I knew I wanted to follow my passions and also share my passions with others.

I had already been tutoring Spanish in the Nantwich and Crewe area for several years, after returning to the UK from Madrid, but turning it into a business was a big leap of faith which I have never looked back on.

I started with only 6 students and in just 2 years the business has grown beyond my expectations! We now have 2 other incredible Spanish tutors who are also highly qualified, experienced and whom have either lived or still live in Spain so you get someone teaching you Spanish who has had real life experience of living in the country.

Wilde Spanish would not be where it is today without the support of all our students and parents (past and present), the ongoing support from The Granary Arts Café, and its success is also down to the amazing Clare Grehan Star Learners South Cheshire who has backed Wilde Spanish from the get go!

The future holds many great things and I can't wait to take you on the journey with me!

☂️ After a scorching hot Friday, Saturday’s parties were hastily rearranged under cover!

Stacey’s surprise 30th party had the sailboards painted up in neutral colours with balloon garlands in white sand, sage, white gold and grey while the boards were covered in photos. We are totally ok with that, the boards get painted every time so as long as you’re not using drawing pins it’s no problem.

🥂 It’s a rare occasion I actually attend an event but I love being a part of NetworkIn and the support I get from the members.

I was delighted to use our silver sequin wall with orange and white as the main colour balloons for the garland with touches of mirror copper and mirror silver for the event at the Manor House, Alsager - more photos to follow!

Last night I attended the NetworkIN awards.

I was up for two awards as well as being in the Team of the Year category which we were the current holders of.

Being highly commended for both Advocate of the Year and Team of the Year is an absolute pleasure.

NetworkIN and networking has been a key part of my business strategy since its inception 7 years ago - I don't know where I would be without it (Probably employed - eek - no one wants that again).

Not only does NetworkIN generate leads that turn into amazing clients I have learned so much about other business sectors and it gives me a way of having a team without employing anyone.

Thanks to everyone I have met through NetworkIN - but especially the current advocates of Team Stoke Friday.

An incredibly sad bit of news. We know the squeaky voice thing is funny but the consequences can be horrific.

Luke Ramone Harper was overcome by the gas and suffered fatal brain injuries after placing a balloon over his head.

🦒 Another 1st birthday from Saturday, this time Stirling’s jungle party!

🛠 Handyman dad made the backdrop and mum, Abi, sourced the signs. We added balloon garlands, a menagerie and some greenery to finish the look. And the sun came out later in the afternoon!
