Butch Salads recently had the pleasure of working with leading integrated travel marketing company on the their Mojo Summit at Somerset House. The event took place in the Portico and Navy Board Rooms, and brought together destination leaders from around the world to explore the industry’s trending topics and current challenges.

During the day we provided breakfast pastries and seasonal fruits, a colourful crowd-pleasing lunch buffet, and afternoon cakes. The event culminated in a banquet dinner of bresaola with figs and goat’s curd, Tuscan beef peposo and radicchio salad, finished with our famous chocolate and amaretto torte.

Thank you to MMGY and Somerset House for the wonderful collaboration!

On Monday the Butch Salads team had the honour of catering an event at Number 10 Downing Street to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of 3 incredible LGBTQIA+ charities: and ❤️

It was a real pleasure to provide the canapés and drinks for a reception in honour of LGBTQIA+ people doing essential work for the community, thank you for having us!

WE ARE HIRING! 🌞

Butch Salads are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable freelance chefs and front of house staff to join our team for our busy summer period!

For chef positions, minimum two years experience is required, and catering experience is a plus. Our kitchen is based in South East London. Must have good availability in June/July.

We particularly encourage applicants from the LGBTQ+ community to apply, but everyone else is always welcome too!

All staff paid above London Living Wage, at competitive rates according to experience.

Happy International Women’s Day from Butch Salads!

We want to take this opportunity to re-introduce ourselves to our followers. We are Hanne Cole (she/her) and Rachel Rumbol (they/them), professional chefs and caterers based in South East London. We have been running Butch Salads together for the past seven years.

As a proudly female and q***r owned catering company, we take immense pride in supporting women-led initiatives, communities, and businesses. We are inspired by an amazing community of cooks, food writers and eaters who surround us.

The journey of the Butch Salads team into catering was built around a response to a food industry which primarily centres male voices and poor work cultures. Diversity and equality are central to our ethos as a business.

We have fostered an alternative model of working in the industry which centres female leadership, collaboration with other small businesses, opportunities for learning and growth amongst our staff, alongside a diverse and inclusive work environment.

This IWD, we’re celebrating the women who drive innovation, progress and inspiration across the catering industry and beyond.
