Sparklers make for the perfect evening pictures…
~The laughter of guests meaning smiles aren’t forced
~The genuine childlike excitement that is visible in the pictures
~The inclusion of your guests in a fun group shot
💥But what do you need to think about before bringing out the sparklers?💥
💥✨Where do you want this photo taken?
It’s a simple enough concept, but it’s different to a confetti shot, because you need to ensure there is enough space for literal fire.
It’s worth asking your venue if they have restrictions about where you can do this because you don’t want to get told ‘no’ on the night
💥✨Lighters, lighters and more lighters
Let’s be honest now, sparklers are SO hard to light.
Not only do you need a boat load of lighters to get them all going in unison, but you need a boat load of people to light them all too.
Don’t forget that sparklers actually light best off eachother, so make sure you tell people to pass along the spark
💥✨Expectations vs. Reality
Let’s be real about this, not everyone’s sparkler is going to be lit at exactly the same time, but with teamwork and lots of lighters, it is possible to share a stunning moment for all to enjoy
💥✨Putting them out
Sparklers don’t last all that long and then people are stood with a hot, spiky stick in their hands…
Most venues will require you to supply buckets with either sand or water in them to ensure all sparklers are properly extinguished and disposed of
💥✨Quantity is quality
There are few times I’ll admit this, but it’s true: When it comes to sparklers, the more you have, the more effective the moment will be
Make sure you have enough sparklers for each of your guests to get involved, and maybe even some spare if you and your partner want to do another one just the two of you🤍
