Photos have a unique ability to span great distances, and this is especially clear to me when I photograph families at various points throughout their lives.
When families look back on the photos that I create for them, I hope they are transported back to the stories that have shaped their lives. I hope they are reminded of the love that binds them together, the growth they have experienced, and the milestones they have achieved.
I hope that the photos I create serve as anchors, providing a sense of continuity, connecting the dots along the shape of a life.
I feel immense joy in witnessing the changes that occur from one session to the next, whether it’s been a month, a year, or a decade. It’s a privilege to be a part of these families’ stories, capturing the moments that make up their lives, knowing that a photo is never just the physical appearance of a family but also the intangible essence of their connection, their journey, and their love.
