One of the biggest things we teach people is snakes are not “aggressive” they are “defensive.”

Snakes do not take humans as a food source especially the native snakes in Arizona. There is no reason for a snake to be “aggressive” toward people. Snakes do however have plenty of reasons to be “defensive” around people. Snakes can be extremely afraid of us and it’s always best that if you see a snake to follow the number 1 rule snakes have which is…. Leave them alone!

If you leave snakes alone they will leave you alone! Leaving them alone shows these animals that you respect them and their privacy!

We need snakes around though… all of them, even the venomous ones! Snakes protect the food we grow as well as us from diseases that come from rats, mice, birds, and even insects!

No this isn’t the Geico Gecko. This is a Madagascar Day Gecko. We have two females named Shopp and Hula. The model of the Geico Gecko is based off this species of gecko. They are absolutely stunning with their green bodies and red stripes. When guest visit they happen to be one of the favorites to see because they are usually right in front on the glass.

Today is veterinarian appreciation day and we want to thank our vets for all they do for our animals.

Avian and Exotic animal hospital takes amazing care of our reptiles especially Sarah and Sam!

Dr. Holmes takes amazing care of birds and mammals with herd health vets!

We also know a few vets that have come and visited us and have helped out with our animals and we want to thank them as well!

No tarantulas were harmed making these. Tarantulas molt their exo skeletons as well as their fangs as they grow! These pieces can be perfectly preserved. They are for sale at the ranch gift stand for $10 or if you want one shipped to you it’s $12.

Although we are not a non profit we actually recieve a lot of rescues! 70 percent of the animals we own are rescued. We do adopt out reptiles and we are proud to say with no rehoming fee! We do are due diligence and place our rescues in caring homes. Our business is trying extremely hard to change the world of reptiles through fun, informative, hands on education. Book us today!

July is still pretty open so if you would like to book a show for July and as well as August book now!

As a reminder we always ask our customers to book 3 months in advance for prime booking. There are no fees for booking early and you can book as early as a year in advance.

We have been asked a lot “Do you all host a summer camp at the ranch?” The answer to that is no, because we are attending so many other summer camps!!!!
