Happy Birthday Arizona! Many people think the Gila Monster is Arizona’s state reptile, however it’s actually the Ridge-Nosed Rattkesnake!

The ridge-nosed rattlesnake lives only the Huachuca, Patagonia, and Santa Rita Mountains in the south central part of Arizona.

Pinal County has made proposed zoning changes to all of Pinal. Large livestock is defined as Horses, Donkeys, Goats, Emus, ect.

There are other issues that are also happening like Chicken coops have to be 80 feet from a perimeter fence.

These rules are unrealistic and poorly written and do not suit the best interest of animal keepers. We request that everyone please reach out to the board of supervisor in Pinal County or leave a public comment to have them fault the purposed zoning changes. These zoning changes could affect our ranch and our animals.

Queen Creek Area a sulcata tortoise was found and hit by a car. Tortoise is ok and has been given veterinary care and is currently in our possession. Please share this in hopes we can find the owner. There is no bill for this we just want this Tortoise to get back to its family. If you see any post of lost tortoises please send them to us so we can validate as well.

We are sad to report that we lost two amazing lizards yesterday. Walter the Chinese Water Dragon and Bubba the Blue Tongue Skink. We have had Walter since 2019 and Bubba since 2012. Neither were babies when we were given them. Both Lizards were on the older side for lizards and they did start to show signs of old age the past few months. We will certainly miss them and both of them had big followings with lots of our clients. They inspired so many and we are so happy they both came in to our lives. We love you both and may we meet again! RIP
