This wedding was a wonderful blend of traditions, including a Hora chair dance! It was my first time filming one and an absolute blast.

The background light is a film light I use to help illuminate the dance floor and keep the dancers as the stars of the shot.

Make a grand entrance! I love filming the couple's reception debut with the crowd in the background to capture everybody’s reactions.

This was filmed with a gimbal which provides smooth camera movements while in action.

Stephanie & Christina met on a Semester at Sea so it was fitting that both their wedding and reception took place on a boat on Lake Michigan. Every wedding is different, and I love being able to adapt to film at any wedding location.

This one was special. Christiana & Nic prepared a choreographed first dance, so I had them perform the dance during the sunset photoshoot before the “official” dance at the reception so we could edit between them seamlessly. We all loved the result!

It’s not everyday that the Blue Angels appear at your wedding!

Their wedding happened to coincide with the Milwaukee Air & Water Show so we used it to our advantage! We timed their kiss with the jets flying by in the background. Epic.

I love capturing romantic moments at sunset! It provides a gorgeous backlight and perfect warm colors to illuminate the couple. Filming directly into the sunset also provides lens flares -- typically you avoid those but they are great for getting creative!

Always end on a kiss.
For the last shot of the night at Cayla & Alex’s summer wedding, we used a lens with wide aperture attached to a speedbooster to get a low light shot.
